🚨 SlowMist TI Alert 🚨 The Mini Shai-Hulud, Miasma, and Hades malware family, now expanding beyond npm into the Go module ecosystem. Affected Go modules: is a Cosmos SDK-based Layer 1 blockchain project for decentralized trust and verifiable registry infrastructure. The compromised repository contains obfuscated payloads under .claude/, execution logic in .claude/setup.mjs and .vscode/setup.mjs, and VS Code/AI assistant workflow hooks that may trigger payload execution when the repository is opened. This is not a traditional Go build-time compromise. The risk lies in source-repository and developer-environment abuse through IDE automation, AI hooks, and hidden workspace configuration. Security teams should avoid opening untrusted repositories with IDE automation enabled, audit .claude and .vscode files, and rotate any potentially exposed developer, cloud, repository, and CI/CD credentials. Special thanks to @SocketSecurity for the excellent discovery. As always, stay vigilant!

Zion Church Prayer Letter (ZCPL 2026.06.19) Dear families in Christ and friends from all walks of life, peace be with you! It has been 253 days since the “October 9” Zion crackdown outbroke. For Zion Church under ongoing persecution, these days and nights have been a wilderness journey—filled with tears and perils, yet also abounding in grace and providence. We sincerely thank you for your attention, prayers, solidarity, and support as you stand with us and journey alongside us. We hereby provide the latest updates on the case and the corresponding prayer requests. I. Case Updates On November 18, 2025, the Yinhai Branch of the Beihai Public Security Bureau formally arrested 18 Zion pastors and co-workers on charges of “suspected illegal use of information networks.” As of June 18, 2026, the police’s criminal investigation—following three previous extensions—has reached the maximum seven-month limit for pre-trial detention in major cases. On June 18, 2026, nine of the detained brothers and sisters were released on bail pending trial. They include Pastor Sun Cong, Brother Liu Jiang, Sister Li Shengjuan, Sister Wei Yunfei, Sister An Mei, Sister Zhan Ge, Sister Hu Yanzi, Sister Mei, and Sister Zhu Mingli. We are filled with joy and gratitude for this. In Beihai, some family members and church members warmly welcomed these nine brothers and sisters with flowers and embraces after their long separation. However, the situation is bittersweet, as the remaining nine church leaders have been—or are about to be—transferred to the procuratorate and face prosecution. They include Pastor Jin Mingri (Ezra), Pastor Wang Lin (Franklin), Pastor Gao Yingjia (Joshua), Pastor Yin Huibin, Pastor Liu Zhenbin, Pastor Lin Shucheng, Pastor Wang Cong (female), Elder Wang Zhong, and Sister Wu Qiuyu (Chloe). Based on the limited information currently available to us, the initial criminal charges of “illegal use of information networks” have been changed to “illegal business operations” and “fraud.” The specific charges upon which the individuals will ultimately be prosecuted remain to be verified and confirmed after their lawyers have reviewed the case files from the procuratorate. II. Prayer Requests 1. Please give thanks and pray for the nine brothers and sisters who have been released on bail pending trial: We thank and praise the Lord for graciously releasing these nine brothers and sisters, allowing them to finally reunite with the family members and fellow believers they have so deeply longed to see. All nine are currently in good spirits and filled with joy. Please pray for the gradual restoration of their physical and mental health, families, daily lives, and ministries. May the Lord provide—through the church community—the financial, emotional, and spiritual support they need. May the Lord strengthen them as they live under the restrictions of bail, empowering them to continue testifying and living out the true freedom in Christ that no one can take away. 2. Please pray for the nine pastors, leaders, and co-workers facing prosecution, as well as their families: May the Lord continue to protect their bodies, souls, and spirits, and—in His perfect timing—bring about the complete release of His servants. May the Lord watch over their families, comforting them in their sense of loss and pain, and strengthening their faith and hope. Please offer special thanksgiving and prayer for two families who welcomed new life on the 4th of this month: Pastor Ezra’s daughter, Grace, gave birth to a son (who shares the name Ezra with his grandfather), and Pastor Lin Shucheng’s family welcomed a daughter. May these gifts, bestowed by the Lord amidst suffering, serve as a testimony to the Gospel: through persecution and tribulation, the church is sharing in the Messiah’s birth pangs and bringing forth new, eternal lives. 3. Please pray regarding the procuratorate’s subsequent review and prosecution process: Please pray for the People’s Procuratorate of Yinhai District, Beihai City—which is handling this case—as well as the Chief Procurator and the officials involved. Ask the Lord to open their eyes so they may clearly see that “Zion Bible Institute” is by no means an “illegal business operation,” and that Zion Church’s “offerings” are certainly not commercial “fraud.” We earnestly pray and publicly call upon the procuratorial authorities to respect the facts, drop the baseless charges of “illegal business operations” and “fraud” against Pastor Jin and eight other church leaders in accordance with the law, decide not to prosecute, and immediately release all those currently detained. In doing so, they would uphold the judicial mandate of objectivity, fairness, punishing evil, and rewarding good, while safeguarding the constitutional right of citizens to freedom of belief. 4. Please pray for the legal team’s ongoing defense: Should the prosecution proceed with formal charges, we ask the Lord to grant the lawyers courage, wisdom, strategy, and eloquence as they conduct the defense in accordance with the law. May the Lord protect the legal team, ensuring they are granted access to all case files, can make thorough pre-trial preparations, and formulate sound courtroom defense strategies. May the Lord provide all necessary resources and funding for the subsequent legal work and keep the Christian lawyers and their families safe and secure. May the Lord use the testimonies and arguments presented by the pastors and lawyers in court to offer a public and righteous defense of the truth of the Gospel. 5. Please pray for the ongoing pastoral ministry of Zion Church: May our Lord Jesus Christ—the Great Shepherd who died, rose again, and sits upon the throne—continue to lead and shepherd His own church. We ask the Lord to strengthen Zion pastors and congregants everywhere, that they may not cast away their confidence (Hebrews 10:35), but strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit (Ephesians 4:3), practice love for one another (John 13:35), and remain full of hope for the future—hope not only for the return of the nine Zion pastoral leaders but also for the return of Christ and the making of all things new (Revelation 21:5), as all nations join hands to return to Zion (Isaiah 2:2)! In summary, as of June 18, 2026, the Zion Church case has entered a brand-new phase. The legal struggle we are waging for the sake of our faith is also an ongoing spiritual battle. We earnestly urge and encourage everyone: remain vigilant, pray without ceasing, and rely fully on the Lord—for ultimate victory is assured! Amen. Some of my perspective on where the @ethereumfndn is going. First of all, this is only my own view. The board is not just me, and I have no extra special powers on the board that the other board members do not. @aerugoettinea is the one executing much of this transition. My input has been largely on technical questions. The board is in the process of expanding, and my own power within the org will continue to decrease, which is honestly what I want. The 2025 era brought many important improvements to EF and its ability to execute. Many issues were resolved, and EF continues to benefit from its improved efficiency and greater focus on concrete goals to this day. And so with those problems resolved, early this year, the largest remaining hole that I perceived was something different nagging at me: I would regularly spot people saying things like "vitalik says these beautiful things about ethereum needing to be decentralized, and have privacy, and be a sanctuary technology, but why do the EF's actions not reflect that?" Now, you may have been hearing something different. You may not have been sensing a feeling of crisis at all, and maybe were hearing people saying that finally we were taking execution and BD seriously and the main task for us is to keep going that way and be even better and faster. Then probably there is genuine difference between you and me, in what kinds of criticism I take most seriously, and what kinds of critics through their criticism are most able to make me feel pain. As an analogy, let's briefly switch over to a different domain. One belief you can have about Google is that it is a success story, and has brought a lot of good to humanity in organizing the world's information. Another belief you can have about Google is that they had a beautiful idealistic beginning, but at some point the corruption of mainstream corporate attitudes seeped in, and they slowly bit by bit completely abandoned the "don't be evil" slogan. My belief on Google specifically is probably somewhere between the two. BUT, if you had taken me back in time to ~2008, and offered me a button to press to make Google one or two standard deviations more "dogmatic", eg. give Richard Stallman permanent veto power over some key policies, I would immediately press it. Why? Because a choice for one company is not a choice for the world, or even one country. Google existed and exists in the context of a technology industry generally drifting away from early idealistic don't-be-evil roots and toward greed for financial gain, totalizing visions of accelerated superintelligence, infiltration by sociopaths, and craven capitulation to (or worse, active participation in) government pressure for ideological control, surveillance and war. And so *one company* doing something different, positioning itself to be what George Bernard Shaw calls the Unreasonable Man, resisting the trend of the times, would have been better for freedom, balance of power and stability of society as a whole, than *all* large companies bending to dominant trends. This is a part of my version of pluralism. This line of thinking is not just mine, but I also is not too far off from what Aya and others had in mind with the Mandate. Now how does this all get to the role of the EF? EF is not a "center of Ethereum", rather EF is "one node, with a defined purpose, alongside other nodes". We've always said that the EF should be the latter, but many in the Ethereum ecosystem (and even within the EF) wanted us to be the former. Now, we are taking action to ensure that we will be the latter. This is particularly important because EF is a limited organization, with limited resources and limited organizational capacity. The EF has only ~0.16% of all ETH (less than many other individual ETH holders), whereas among other blockchains it's common for "the central foundation" to have 10-50%. Fiscally, the EF was originally designed to fulfill a limited work scope defined in the token sale docs and other pre-launch materials (building the chain software; getting through Frontier, Homestead, Metropolis, Serenity), which was fully completed in 2022; it was not designed to be an eternal steward. And so today, the EF is choosing to use its remaining resources to pursue longevity over breadth (yes, this means we sell less ETH). The EF focuses *specifically* on those activities critical to the success of ethereum as a censorship/capture-resistant, open, private and secure system, that would not happen otherwise. This means making hard choices, and in some cases even activities that we highly approve of and people that we highly respect becoming outside of the EF. People of great technical talent, public respect and even alignment with the mission and CROPS being outside of the EF is in fact necessary if we want important tasks to be able to attract outside capital. This also means the EF taking opinionated stands culturally. This is all intended in cooperation with all other parts of ethereum. We recognize that many other parts of the ethereum world highly respect CROPS and related values. But highly respecting is not the same as choosing to specialize and totally dedicate to a domain (Compare in a different domain: I think reducing animal cruelty is important, and I like vegan food, but am not full unconditional vegan myself) EF is still in a transition period, and we expect its new long-term form to stabilize over the next few months. What are the guiding principles of this new form? Again, I am only one person, but I can give my answer from a technical perspective (there are also critical non-technical aspects). At the core, *Ethereum must be impressive*. We are living in an age of highly intelligent AI and all kinds of other technological acceleration. "Status quo EVM, with a hard fork or two a year to optimize for short-term needs of users" is not interesting. To some, "impressive" means: 250ms latency and 1M TPS. I think Ethereum trying to go that route is a mistake. Being as fast and as scalable as possible, and only a small epsilon more decentralized than the others, is a route to mediocrity, and if we try it we will lose. I think Ethereum should scale. But I think Ethereum should strive the hardest to be deeply impressive in a different dimension: the CROPS dimension. This means things like: * Provably bug-free Ethereum. This is a goal that all cybersecurity researchers would have thought is absurd and impossible, up until roughly 6 months ago. Now, it's on the cusp of being possible, thanks to AI-assisted formal verification. So we should be frontrunners in doing this. * Available chain consensus. Ethereum is, and with lean consensus will cotninue to be, the ONLY chain that has both (i) traditional-BFT style properties that it's safe under asynchrony up to a high level of fault tolerance, and (ii) the bitcoin PoW-style property that under synchrony it's safe up to 49% attackers. As far as I can tell, literally no other chain has this or is planning for it; bitcoin goes for (ii) only and most other chains go for (i) only. Some will remember I fought hard for this, Unreasonably insisting that it is not OK for ethereum to rely on social consensus and hard forks to rescue ethereum from 34% of nodes going offline. It's OK for chains like hyperledger, bnb, solana, tempo, etc. It's not OK for bitcoin or ethereum or eg. zcash. * Intermediary minimization. The fact that smart contract wallets, protocols like railgun, etc have to send transactions through intermediaries to get included onchain is honestly embarrassing, and it's a constant point of fragility. Hence the work on FOCIL and EIP-8141 (and 7701 and years of work before) to make transaction sending intermediary-minimized with public mempool and strong inclusion properties, in a truly general-purpose way, that covers not just eg. secp256r1, but also privacy protocols and much more. Kohaku is pushing intermediary minimization at the user layer, pulling Ethereum away from the dystopian status quo world where our wallets don't even verify the chain, send our private data out to a dozen third-party servers, and toward a brighter CROPS future. Some of these goals are Unreasonable - maybe Ethereum would be "fine" getting only 50% of the way - what if we depend on intermediaries, but make it easy to switch? But going 50% of the way would not make Ethereum Deeply Impressive in the CROPS way. So we push for 100%. Fortunately all these goals are compatible with high TPS, this is a major focus of research (esp. on scaling the state). Well-designed L2s can also help, especially L2s optimized for specific applications (eg. high-volume trading, privacy...). These goals are even compatible with significantly lower slot times, thanks to Raul's work on erasure-coded P2P, and many other optimizations. The most high-value "product" of the ethereum blockchain, financially speaking, is ETH the asset. Ethereum secures $250 billion of ETH. The types of properties of Ethereum that I mentioned above are very good for ETH the asset. Nearly 90% of my net worth is in ETH, and most of the remainder is ~$40m of onchain fiat of which every dollar has already been allocated for some open-source biotech or software or hardware initiative. That said, there are aspects of supporting ETH the asset - *necessary* aspects even - that are outside the scope of the EF. This is where we need other heroes (some of whom hold more ETH than the EF does) to step in and help. EF has been recently thinking more about how it will relate to other such organizations, and give them needed initial support. EF will be a smaller ship than in previous years, a more opinionated one - in some cases more opinionated in ways that might be difficult to comprehend - but a longer-lasting one, and one suited to making sure that ethereum brings something meaningful to the world. We are grateful to all those inside and outside the EF who are helping to make this happen.

It has been a great honor to serve the Ukrainian people as the Minister of Defense. Here is what our team managed to achieve: 1. Disabled Starlink access for Russian forces. 2. Took over a Ministry of Defense with zero budget, took a risk, reallocated funds from payroll from the end of the year, and effectively invested them in mid-strike capabilities, fiber-optic FPVs, low-cost reconnaissance, ground robotic platforms, interceptor drones, and deep-strike drones. 3. Launched "Logistical Lockdown", this cut off enemy logistics and initiated the isolation of Crimea. 4. Continued the funding program for the Drone Line. 5. Launched a support program for modern drone-assault units that rely primarily on advanced technologies in combat. 6. Introduced a 70% advance payment policy for procurements made via e-Points on the Brave1 Market portal. 7. Fundamentally overhauled the procurement system. 8. Procured thousands of pickup trucks, buggies, and ATVs for the military for the first time—and did so through open tenders. 9. The drone interception rate rose from 83% to 91%, and the cruise missile interception rate soared from 47% to 87%. 10. Contracted Patriot PAC-2 GEM-T missiles for the first time, and submitted an application through an EU loan to purchase PAC-3 missiles. 11. Launched a baseline drone supply system for brigades and corps. 12. Launched a massive grant program for manufacturers of explosives and missiles. 13. Initiated an unpopular but vital transformation of the military. 14. Conducted three UDCG meetings, where we successfully broke through the Russian information trap claiming our defeat, restoring partners' faith in Ukraine. This secured $40 billion in support announced for this year (excluding the EU loan). 15. Launched the mechanism to utilize the EU loan for our military priorities. 16. Found a way to scale cheap missiles against jet-powered Shaheds and signed a record-breaking contract. 17. Our domestic ballistics. We radically revised the technical specifications, maximized accuracy, and reduced the cost by 30%. 18. Signed a contract to procure Gripen fighter jets. 19. Collaborated with the military to plan and execute Operation Auchan, which halted the enemy's mechanized offensive for six months. 20. Opened up exports under the Drone Deal program to attract investment and scale up domestic defense-industrial complex (OPK) production. 21. Launched the Trophy Lab, providing partners with the opportunity to study captured Russian military technologies. 22. Launched the Defense AI Center A1 to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence on the battlefield. Thank you to my entire team for their relentless 24/7 service. A special thank you to my family for their patience. Thank you all for your support! I will continue to work toward the mission I originally brought to the Ministry of Defense: defeating the enemy through asymmetry, the speed of innovation, and the power of organization. To be continued.
