G-AXDN was the first Concorde to be fitted with the iconic droop nose and glass visor that became standard on all subsequent production aircraft. This pre-production Concorde could lower its nose by 17.5°, compared with 12.5° on production models. It is also the fastest Concorde ever recorded, reaching Mach 2.23 at 63,700 ft during testing in March 1974. Concorde needed a drooping nose because its delta wing was highly efficient at supersonic speeds but generated less lift at low speeds. This meant Concorde had to maintain a high angle of attack during landing, pitching the nose upward and severely restricting the pilots' forward visibility. The droop nose solved that problem, lowering the cockpit's line of sight during takeoff and landing while allowing the aircraft to maintain the high angle of attack needed for lift. That high-speed, low-speed compromise also contributed to Concorde's high takeoff speeds and the need for afterburners during departure. Today, G-AXDN is preserved at the Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridge,UK. 📹: Spartan_exr

Becky G Suggests a Taco Spin-Off & Says ‘You Can’t Even Enjoy That’ While Eating Spiciest Wing on ‘Hot Ones’
THE ONLY PHOTO EVER TAKEN OF CONCORDE AT MACH 2 This remarkable image shows Concorde G-BOAG cruising at Mach 2 (1,350 mph) over the Irish Sea in April 1985. Captured from an RAF Panavia Tornado fighter jet, the rendezvous lasted just four minutes as the Tornado, rapidly running low on fuel, struggled to keep pace with the supersonic airliner. At Mach 2, Concorde's 204-ft airframe stretched by nearly six inches due to aerodynamic heating. Temperatures reached approximately 127°C (261°F) at the nose and wing leading edges, while its distinctive high-reflectivity white paint helped dissipate the intense heat generated by supersonic flight. 📸: ConcordePhotos

🚨🇨🇳 PENTAGON’S WORST NIGHTMARE: CHINA’S J-36 BECOMES FIRST SIXTH-GENERATION FIGHTER PROTOTYPE SEEN MAKING SHARP MANEUVERS China has publicly demonstrated something no other sixth-generation fighter program has yet revealed: a giant tailless prototype performing a sharp turn-climb. New footage of the aircraft unofficially known as the J-36 challenges the assumption that a stealth aircraft of this size must handle like a slow flying-wing bomber. 🔸 The J-36 is significantly larger than China’s J-20 and uses an unprecedented three-engine configuration. Its size points toward a long-range air-dominance platform carrying large fuel reserves, powerful sensors and heavy internal weapons loads. 🔸 Unlike conventional fighters, the J-36 has no vertical stabilizers or horizontal tailplanes. Removing them reduces radar-reflecting surfaces but also eliminates much of the aerodynamic leverage normally used to control pitch and yaw. 🔸 Chengdu compensates with computerized flight controls and numerous movable surfaces along the wing’s trailing edge. Recent prototypes have also displayed exhaust configurations widely interpreted as two-dimensional thrust-vectoring nozzles, potentially allowing the engines themselves to help control the aircraft. 🔸 The latest footage shows the huge aircraft entering a sharp turn while climbing and remaining stable throughout the maneuver. The exact speed, angle of attack and G-load remain unknown, but its ability to change direction rapidly without losing control is clearly visible. 🔸 It demonstrates something more important for J-36's intended role: China appears to be combining the range, payload and stealth of a much larger aircraft with far greater maneuverability than previously expected from a tailless design. 🔸 The footage may show as many as the fifth distinct flying J-36 airframe. Visible changes to the nose, intakes, landing gear and exhaust system suggest Chengdu is testing multiple configurations rather than relying on a single technology demonstrator. China’s sixth-generation prototypes have been publicly flying since December 2024. The U.S. Air Force says secret experimental aircraft have already completed hundreds of flight hours, but the final F-47 remains in engineering development and has yet to appear publicly. The real warning for the Pentagon is therefore bigger than one impressive maneuver. China is rapidly building, flying and refining multiple versions of a sixth-generation combat aircraft while the American public has seen only illustrations of its future rival. What should worry the Pentagon more: the J-36’s agility or the speed at which China is testing new prototypes?

Anduril's $5 Billion Raise: How Silicon Valley Built a $61 Billion Defense Industrial Giant in Nine Years @anduriltech just closed the largest defense tech funding round in history. On May 13, 2026, Anduril raised $5 billion in Series H financing at a $61 billion valuation, led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. The valuation more than doubled in under a year from the $30.5 billion established in June 2025, when Founders Fund led a $2.5 billion Series G. Total capital raised now exceeds $11 billion. The revenue trajectory justifies the valuation leap. Anduril doubled revenue to $2.2 billion in 2025 and projects approximately $4.3 billion for 2026, another 100% year-over-year increase. That growth comes at a cost: the company expects an operating loss of roughly $1.2 billion in 2026, reflecting heavy upfront investment in Arsenal-1 manufacturing ramp and R&D. Anduril does not expect to turn profitable until 2030. This is a scale-before-margin bet, and the company @PalmerLuckey founded is rebuilding the defense industrial base at Silicon Valley speed. The contract portfolio validates the Pentagon's confidence. In March 2026, the U.S. Army awarded Anduril a 10-year enterprise contract with a ceiling of up to $20 billion, consolidating more than 120 separate procurement actions into a single framework - the largest single deal Anduril has landed. In May, the U.S. Space Force selected Anduril among 20 contractors for the Golden Dome space-based interceptor program, a $3.2 billion pool to develop missile defense prototypes by 2028. Anduril is also partnering with Palantir to develop Golden Dome's AI-powered command-and-control software, using its Lattice platform to process real-time data from satellites, drones, radar, and sensors to coordinate automated defense responses. Arsenal-1 is the physical proof that Anduril has crossed from software company to defense manufacturer. The hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ohio, with a final planned footprint of nearly 5 million square feet (with the first two phases spanning 1.7 million square feet), launched the production line for the YFQ-44A Fury Collaborative Combat Aircraft in March 2026. An autonomous wingman for the U.S. Air Force's CCA program, the Fury has already completed semi-autonomous flight testing at Edwards Air Force Base. Production lines for Roadrunner interceptors and Barracuda cruise missiles are slated to join the facility by the end of the year to achieve multi-line manufacturing. Furthermore, the Department of Defense has agreed to purchase more than 10,000 low-cost containerized cruise missiles (LCCM) over three years from a consortium including Anduril, which will provide its Barracuda-500M surface-launched cruise missiles. In nine years Anduril has grown from a startup founded by the former creator of Oculus into a defense platform valued at more than a tenth of Lockheed Martin's market cap. The difference is speed and architecture: the Lattice operating system, the autonomous Hivemind pilot, and hyperscale manufacturing running at consumer electronics pace rather than traditional defense timelines. The defense industrial base is being rewritten, and the authors are from Silicon Valley.

In our latest video masterclass👇, I pulled back the curtain on the 12 Keys to Becoming One Great Trader. Watching our prop desk at SMB Capital develop homegrown 7- and 8-figure traders from scratch since 2005 taught us one undeniable truth: Market Wizards aren’t born—they are built, brick by brick. 1. Love the Game: You can’t fake an obsession. On our desk, guys talk trading on the way to the gym, over breakfast, and all day long. Max will talk trading through nine innings at a Yankees game. If you don’t genuinely love the craft, you will never survive against the people who do. 2. One Good Trade: Stop obsessing over daily P&L. Before you ever touch the keys, learn how to construct an asymmetric risk-to-reward trade in a Stock in Play with a real catalyst. One Good Trade. And then One Good Trade. And then One Good Trade. 3. Study & Build Real Edge: Saying "I like breakouts" isn’t an edge—it’s just a sentence. As Dan G tells our interns every summer: go find who is making money on the desk and study what they do. 4. Run Unshakeable Daily Best Practices: Amateurs wing it; pros run a structured daily process. Run your pre-market game plans, complete your PlayBook, log your Daily Report Card (DRC), and backtest relentlessly. 5. Culture: Figuring out computerized markets alone takes years longer and costs a fortune in "tuition"—otherwise said: painful, avoidable trading losses. Surround yourself with traders who hold higher standards than you do. 6. Collaborate Relentlessly: Our top trading pod pulled in ~$50M in 2025 because they trade as an integrated team pod. They game plan A+ setups together, hold each other accountable, and check blind spots. Collaboration expands your P&L exponentially. 7. Be Bionic: You cannot track modern markets manually. Build custom scanners, scripts, alerts, and leverage AI workflows to play more offense. 8. Bring Your Best "You" to the Screen: You can’t extract millions from the market with brain fog and an exhausted body. Sleep, nutrition, workouts, and mindfulness aren’t lifestyle luxuries—they are non-negotiable risk management tools. 9. Patience: Everyone wants an 8-figure year on Day 30. One of our all-time top producers didn't hit his stride until Year 3, and last year he posted his third 8-figure year. Give yourself the runway to become One Great Trader. 10. Trading Psychology: This is so misunderstood, and we explain how in the video. 11. Resources: Talent and ambition alone aren't enough. Elite performers need buying power to scale, dedicated coaching, proprietary tech, and senior traders in their corner. 12. Talent: You can’t play running back in the NFL without elite speed and strength. In active discretionary trading, raw cognitive horsepower matters. Your job is to maximize whatever natural processing speed you possess. You can write your own Market Wizard story with these 12 keys👇—and become One Great Trader 👊! #OneGreatTrader# #OneGoodTrade# #DayTrading# #PropTrading# #SMBCapital# #TradingPsychology# One Great Trader: The 12 Keys to Market Greatness via @YouTube
