🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Navy SEALs spent four months clearing Iran's mines from Hormuz, diving at night to strap charges onto them BY HAND The covert operation ran mostly after dark. SEAL divers worked alongside the Navy's Common Uncrewed Surface Vessel, a drone boat that tows sonar-equipped submersibles like the MK 18 Mod 2 Kingfish to scan the seabed and find the mines. Once a mine was located and the area cleared, a diver went into the water, approached it, fixed a charge to it and destroyed it, or a robot drone did the same where it was safer but slower. They cleared roughly 80 mines the IMO had counted in June, across four months, with no American casualties, which for work this dangerous is its own achievement. Credit the sailors who pulled this off. The dark truth is how fast Iran adapts around them. Last week it fired rockets rigged to drop sea mines from shore, a delivery method that seeds the water in an afternoon without exposing a single boat to the Navy, and its military claimed two tanker hits in the same stretch. The SEALs cleared the lane the hard way. Iran keeps inventing cheaper faster ways to fill it back in. Source: Financial Times / Writer: Daniel

🚨BADASS ALERT: Patriot Parachute Team Drops In! Former Navy SEALs and Special Ops veterans just flew giant American flags into the Cody Stampede Rodeo for America’s 250th! This is patriotism looks like, elite warriors honoring our country from the sky!

Fifteen years ago today (1 May 2011), U.S. Navy SEALs raided a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan and killed Usama Bin Laden. The raid marked the end of a more than 15-year effort by partners across the Intelligence Community to find Bin Ladin. Learn more:

The Bible reminds us to give honor where honor is due, and today I had the privilege of participating in a mural dedication honoring two of Shreveport’s finest heroes. It’s a story our community knows well. Caddo Magnet High School alumni and Navy SEALs, Jonas Kelsall and Rob Reeves, lost their lives in the line of duty in August 2011, in the Extortion 17 helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Today, we unveiled a mural dedicated to these two patriots, with the most fitting motto, 𝘯𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪 𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘦 — “not for self, but for country” — inscribed at the bottom. I had a chance to visit with Rob’s father, Jim, before the presentation and listen to stories about his beloved son. Jonas and Rob were teammates and faithful friends who ultimately gave their lives so the rest of us can enjoy the blessings of liberty. May God bless the legacies of Jonas and Rob, and may this mural remind future generations that freedom is never free.

INSIDE THE DNI MUSEUM: From paper memos during the Cuban Missile Crisis to secure tablets today. @BretBaier takes you inside the secret DNI museum to see how the Presidential Daily Brief has evolved, and gets a rare look at the exact Bin Laden compound mock-up used to train Navy SEALs before the historic raid.

When the Obama Presidential Center Museum opens June 19, you can see the American flag carried by SEAL Team Six of the Navy SEALs and Army pilots during Operation Neptune’s Spear, the mission that killed Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on May 1, 2011.

🚨 Navy SEAL LT Jason Redman: Shot 7+ Times… But Never Quit. 🇺🇸 On Sept 13, 2007, outside Fallujah, Iraq, Redman led his assault team into a savage Al Qaeda ambush. Machine gun fire ripped his elbow, then smashed through his face—shattering his jaw, destroying his nose and eye socket. He went down… but got back up. Fighting through blood and chaos, he helped call in danger-close air support. His team all made it home alive. Medevaced with catastrophic wounds, he endured 37+ surgeries. Instead of pity, he hung this sign on his hospital door: “ATTENTION: If you’re coming in here with sorrow… GO ELSEWHERE. These wounds? I got them doing a job I love for a country I love. This room is for FUN, OPTIMISM, and RAPID REGROWTH.” Pure warrior spirit. Bronze Star with Valor. Purple Heart. Living proof that real toughness is a choice. 💪🏼🇺🇸 #NavySeal# #AmericanHero#
