This is why Republicans are fighting to secure our elections — and the House has passed the SAVE America Act FOUR times. American elections belong to American citizens. ONLY.

If Bernie Sanders were in charge of AI, he'd just shut it all down and allow China to overlap us and become the great superpower on the planet.   This is not the time for foolish, knee-jerk reactions. We must handle the advancing technology in a wise, balanced manner to harness its potential while ensuring its safety. We can and will do that correctly.

An illegal alien was arrested for voting in the 2024 U.S. election. Democrats claim no illegal aliens are voting, but evidence keeps proving otherwise. It's past time for Democrats to join Republicans to secure our elections because that's what Americans WANT and DESERVE.

Congress has been studying the AI issue since I set up a bipartisan task force to do so soon after I was elected Speaker. We all have a sense of urgency to create guardrails around the technology. The key is designing the guardrails carefully, in a way that prevents any harm from AI —while also preserving American innovation and our national security by keeping our edge over China and other international competitors. I am calling for a meeting in Washington with AI platform providers and key experts to determine the right course forward and discuss the responsibility providers have to ensure the safety of their products.

The Democrat Socialists of America have published their plans: abolish the border, abolish prisons, defund the police, defund the Pentagon and the Department of War, abolish the Senate, and take over means of production. They would shred our Constitution and take away your freedom! The choice here is very simple.

FACT: The Democrats are being taken over by the insurgent Marxist socialist left—and they want more big government, which leads to HIGHER taxes, LESS money in your pocket, and LESS freedom for you.

In 1962, Congress voted to put “In God We Trust” above the Speaker’s rostrum “as a rebuke to the Soviet's philosophy during the Cold War.”  What was the Soviet's philosophy? Exactly what we're fighting today: Marxism, communism, socialism. It is a road to human suffering and death.  Communism begins with the premise that there is no God. It's anti-American and the OPPOSITE of our founding principles.

Which party's candidates and policies are better for me and my family, for my aging parents, for my children's future?  The contrast has never been more clear — it's extreme versus mainstream now.

As we honor the victims of 9/11, we remember the heroes who ran toward danger, served our nation, and helped their fellow Americans. I’m especially proud to see that spirit of heroism carried forward by young Americans like Bossier Elementary 5th grade student Delance, who wrote that a hero is “a person who does whatever it takes to save people and their community.” Our nation’s future is in great hands with young leaders like this. May we always remember, honor, and pass these lessons of courage and service to the next generation. 🇺🇸

A Marine and WWII hero, Woody Williams was the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from WWII. The Hershel “Woody” Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act will honor his legacy and the courage and sacrifice of all who have earned our nation’s highest military honor on the National Mall. Honored to join @JimJustice_WV, @RepBlakeMoore, and heroic Medal of Honor recipients as @POTUS signed this historic bill into law. 🇺🇸

Remember when President @realDonaldTrump asked Congress to stand if they agreed government’s FIRST duty is to protect American citizens—not illegal aliens? Every. Single. Democrat. Stayed. Seated. The American people MUST remember this in November, in 2028, and beyond.

The Bible reminds us to give honor where honor is due, and today I had the privilege of participating in a mural dedication honoring two of Shreveport’s finest heroes. It’s a story our community knows well. Caddo Magnet High School alumni and Navy SEALs, Jonas Kelsall and Rob Reeves, lost their lives in the line of duty in August 2011, in the Extortion 17 helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Today, we unveiled a mural dedicated to these two patriots, with the most fitting motto, 𝘯𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪 𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘦 — “not for self, but for country” — inscribed at the bottom. I had a chance to visit with Rob’s father, Jim, before the presentation and listen to stories about his beloved son. Jonas and Rob were teammates and faithful friends who ultimately gave their lives so the rest of us can enjoy the blessings of liberty. May God bless the legacies of Jonas and Rob, and may this mural remind future generations that freedom is never free.

It’s been said throughout history that crisis reveals the character of people and nations. For us, the darkness of 9/11 was contrasted by the unity of America. That's what we remember and memorialize today — not just the tremendous, profound, unspeakable losses wrought by terrorists, but the light that the darkness could not overcome. Our local communities came together today to remember the victims and their families, and to honor them by working to maintain America's greatness, hope, and opportunity.
