An apron can be given. Character has to be built. In Freemasonry, the apron reminds us that the work begins with ourselves: keeping our word, governing our actions and treating others fairly. #SelfImprovement# #personalgrowth# #freemasonry#

Let’s pause and reflect on a critical key to success: The people who think differently from you—and who you might ordinarily get annoyed with—are often the ones who complement your weaknesses. i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and always from periods of intense humility (i.e. your ego finally relenting)
i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from: • getting humiliated • showing up terrified and doing it anyway • admitting you might be the problem

🇺🇸 James Talarico is talking about Ken Paxton like a man who wants to beat him in an election AND send him on a journey of personal growth. “I feel like I'm trying to protect Ken Paxton because I hope if he loses this race, it will be an opportunity for him to take stock and to reevaluate some of his priorities.” That's quite a way to talk about a political opponent. Most candidates promise to defeat their rivals. Talarico is practically offering Paxton a chance to FIND HIMSELF afterward. 😅 Writer: Oliver

A lot of men fear getting older because they think age alone makes them less attractive. It doesn't. What makes a man less attractive is neglecting himself. Letting his health decline. Losing his confidence. Becoming bitter and cynical. Giving up on personal growth. Losing his social skills. Trying desperately to relive his twenties instead of embracing who he has become. Most women aren't turned off by age. They're turned off by a man who has stopped investing in himself. A man in his 40s, 50s, or even 60s who stays fit, takes care of his appearance, carries himself with confidence, has purpose, emotional maturity, and knows how to communicate will always stand out. You don't need to become younger. You need to become better. Every year should add wisdom, character, competence, and presence. The goal isn't to look 25 forever. The goal is to become the most attractive version of yourself at every stage of life.
