I went to a DevRel panel w/ @mattyp @DevRelChap, and this is the BEST panel i've been to this year. The golden takes: - Founders should do devrel themselves before hiring for it. - You can't influence the LLM layer. It's baked into training data. The agent front-end layer is where you actually have leverage: describe your tools clearly so agents can find and use them - Flooding LLMs with fake repos and slop is a strategy that works for 6 months and burns your reputation forever - Generic products get replaced by agents. Best-in-a-narrow-category survives - Open source licensing matters less than source availability now. models ingest your code either way - The only durable closed-source moat: being close to hardware. AWS is not open source because they own the machines - Github stars and discord activity are not KPIs.
