Today was a historic and deeply meaningful day at @TheJusticeDept as we held a memorial and ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with FDNY Honorary Fire Commissioner Peter Arnell @arnelldesign and America’s Mayor @RudyGiuliani. I was grateful to stand alongside them, hear their reflections on that tragic day, and recognize their leadership and the important role they’ve played in rebuilding our nation in the years since. One of our most fundamental responsibilities at the Department of Justice is to carry forward the work of the men and women who have served our country since September 11, 2001. Every day, we must remain steadfast in our mission to protect the American people and ensure that nothing like the attacks of 9/11 ever happens again.
