Investigators recovered four 9 mm cartridge casings from the scene and entered them into NIBIN. About a month later, a stop involving an open intoxicant led officers to a convicted felon with a 9 mm pistol. A test-fire of the pistol generated a NIBIN lead linking the same firearm to the DoorDash shooting. When presented with a photo array, the DoorDash driver immediately identified the suspect. During questioning, the suspect admitted being at the scene. He was charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
