HYBE reportedly clarified that BTS' decision to not submit for this year's Grammys was not part of a label-wide boycott.
The company said other HYBE artists will continue submitting their work individually, while BTS chose not to submit after careful deliberation, saying the decision was made to "protect the status and pride of the kpop industry as a whole."
BTS members on their decision not to submit their work for this year's Grammy Awards:
"We have decided not to submit for the grammys this year. We hope that music can be heard and appreciated for what it is, rather than being defined by region or language. Thank you to Army and to everyone who has always supported us."
