Hope to see KOSPI reclaim the upward channel today. If not, I’ll have to cut my SK Hynix.
Over the weekend, lots of sell-sides like UBS, BofA, and JPM pumped memory names. Also, the option IV skew of $MU and $SNDK supports a short-term rebound.
However, as I mentioned before, due to crowded positions(unfortunately not improved with the correction) and heavy leverage in semis (especially Korea), and the market needing MAG7 earnings to confirm that capex growth wouldn’t slow down, I don’t think semis have a clear uptrend until the second half of July.
My strategy for semis will be to buy the dip at key levels and sell the rally. For MAG7, I’ll hold the call options until the earnings.
