What the Orb keeps after scanning your eye is a number
@worldnetwork's Orb photographs your irises, converts them into a code, then sends the images to your phone and permanently deletes them from the Orb.
What travels onward is not a picture but an iris code, a 12,800-bit description of iris texture in the deployed system, split into encrypted fragments held by independent parties, including universities.
The system checks uniqueness by measuring the distance between codes. No name, no face, and no image ever enters that comparison.
