BSCN(@BSCNews):Internet Computer Receives Initial Green Light From ICANN To Launch Sovereign ICP Domain Internet Computer (@dfinity) passes the initial review stage set by @ICANN for the .icp generic top-level domain (gTLD), moving the application toward inclusion on the 2026 global sunrise registry candidate list. This process creates an immediate link between the DNS root structure and end-to-end decentralized smart contract technology running on the Internet Computer network. In due course, the .icp domain will connect browser traffic directly to smart contracts and decentralized computing platforms, without needing intermediary corporate website hosting or central domain registration services.
