Even when funds remain untouched, exposed contact details can help criminals target account holders. CZ recommends hardware security keys or passkeys, unique email aliases and withdrawal address whitelisting. He also warns users to watch for phishing attempts that exploit leaked personal details. CZ further advises users to avoid SMS two-factor authentication and secure accounts with stronger methods.
