America has officially lost the plot. A former White House official is openly calling for Washington to prepare espionage, cyberattacks and even military strikes against Chinese data centres if China gets too close to achieving AGI first. Read that again. The country that lectures the world about rules, peace and fair competition is discussing bombing its competitor because it might win a technology race. China is not being accused of attacking America. Its crime is advancing too quickly. This is not national security. It is technological terrorism dressed up as policy. For years, Washington told us competition drives innovation. Now China is competing successfully, the response is sanctions, sabotage and threats of military force. Imagine the global outrage if a Chinese official suggested bombing American data centres to stop OpenAI from reaching AGI. The hypocrisy would be deafening. This tells you everything about the so called rules based order. The rules apply only while America is winning. The moment another country threatens its dominance, the mask comes off. If your technological leadership depends on destroying your competitor's infrastructure, you are not leading. You are panicking.
