It’s becoming abundantly clear to me that being the fast second mover might be the best place to be in crypto. We have enough data at this point to say that being first matters much less than in other industries, where technical moats tend to be much deeper and harder to replicate. @base has been around for almost three years. @RobinhoodApp Chain has been around for barely two months. Yet Robinhood was able to take a lot of the learnings from Base, execute on them extremely quickly, and enter at a time when the infrastructure and crypto primitives are far more mature and efficient. It also got to bypass a lot of the distractions and dead ends along the way: social graphs, the creator economy, NFTs, etc. Remember: the pioneer often gets killed before the settler can take advantage of the land. You don’t necessarily want to be the pioneer. You want to be the first settler. @Blockworks data
