Thrilled to see global TapeOut supporters pushing the protocol forward! Here’s an in depth article hoping it brings some great inspiration to the world
Most “AI + blockchain” projects start with a token. TapeOut started with a NAND gate. Built by teenage developer @Blonskr , TapeOut is exploring a much deeper idea: What if we rebuild the computer itself on-chain? It starts with primitive logic components like NAND gates and LATCHes on BNB Chain. Those components can be connected into circuits. Circuits can become reusable building blocks. And those building blocks can be combined into processors. Blonskr used this approach to build a functioning 4-bit CPU, made from thousands of logic elements, capable of executing simple instructions and calculations like Fibonacci. It’s incredibly slow compared with a modern CPU. But speed isn’t the point. The point is that the architecture and computation can be transparent, deterministic and independently verifiable from blockchain state. Now TapeOut is taking the next step: On-chain AI The project has demonstrated a Binary Neural Network (BNN). The example works like this: Handwritten “7” → converted into 256 binary inputs → processed by 128 neurons → produces scores for digits 0–9 → highest score = 7 The network contains around 34,048 binary weights and TapeOut reports 93.15% test accuracy. This obviously isn’t ChatGPT running on a blockchain. But that’s not what makes it interesting. Most AI today runs behind private APIs. You have to trust that the operator used the correct model, weights and computation. TapeOut is experimenting with something different: visible inputs visible model visible weights reproducible computation verifiable output The progression is fascinating: NAND gates → circuits → processors → neural networks → on-chain AI. Other projects are working on decentralized and verifiable AI, but TapeOut’s bottom-up approach is unusual. Instead of asking: “How do we put AI on blockchain?” TapeOut is asking: “What if we build the computer itself from the blockchain upward?” Still early. Still experimental. But definitely one of the more interesting technical experiments happening on BNB Chain right now. #TapeOut# #BNBChain# #AI# #Blockchain# #OnChainAI# #ComputerScience# #Web3# #Innovation# @DjGriffith
