Dispatchers are the connection between emergency calls, incident information, and personnel responding in the field.
Inside a CAL FIRE Emergency Command Center, our Communications Operators (Fire/EMS Dispatchers) receive and assess incoming information, request resources, communicate with personnel, and continuously relay updates as incidents develop.
The work is constant, and every detail matters. This is what emergency communications sounds like from inside the room.
