Interesting meeting at Apple Park yesterday
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas met with Tim Cook to discuss AI, renewable energy and Australia’s social media age limits.
Malinauskas says Cook told him Apple’s upcoming parental control changes were inspired in part by Australia’s social media age-limit push.
Whether you agree with the policy or not, Australia seemingly having an influence on Apple’s product decisions is pretty wild.
Watch WhistlinDiesel launch a Cybertruck into an F-150 at 111 mph.
The impact completely separated the F-150’s cab from its chassis. The Cybertruck’s body remained in one piece. Despite the severity of the collision, its high-voltage battery pack did not catch fire.
After destroying both trucks, he admitted:
• The Cybertruck’s body was “much, much better”
• It was dramatically faster
• It was far more comfortable to sit in
• Its suspension and ride were better
• It handled Moab impressively before becoming disabled
He believes Tesla is “onto something” with the Cybertruck — they just need to make it last.
Despite all of that, he declared the F-150 the overall durability winner because it survived the broader test without repeatedly returning to a repair shop.
