9th place in the medal table, an improvement of one place on Rome in 2024. 🙂
It's a pity Sharlene got injured at nationals because otherwise it's likely there would be 2 more medals added to the tally.
Good stuff, as it is. 👏
'I Know the End' by Phoebe Bridgers, for anybody who doesn't know it or wants to look it up.
0:49 "Windows down" is when Lucy Dacus comes in again on vocals, adding depth and momentum to get towards the orchestral crescendo.
One of the best songs of any decade, I think. ❤️
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as hundreds of Irish fans turned out to watch Kate O'Connor receive her European gold heptathlon medal in Birmingham.
What. A. Star.

Tough crowd in the comments, very unhappy with race call. 😂
The commentators can't even see Andrew on the screen with ~150m left to go in the race.
He is there, obviously, but in 8th place buried behind a wall of runners; so quite understandable to miss his run up the inside.
"What a bronze medal for Andrew Coscoran!"
The Irish runner came from behind in the last 200m of the 1500m final to secure Ireland's fourth medal of the week at the European Championships.

Andrew Coscoran, wow, just phenomenal stuff to get there for the bronze medal. 👏
Ok no Jakob Ingebrigtsen in the field but still had to run a great final bend to be in the mix for a medal and timed it perfectly. 😎
Brilliant, well done Andrew! 🥉🇮🇪
Kate O'Connor never really a moment's worry in that 800m, a bit like Mark English. 😎
Fantastic national record overall to claim gold and join Sonia & Ciara as our individual women's gold medalists in European Championships history. 👏
Amazing, well done Kate! 🥇 🇮🇪
Wellington has a high rate of go-arounds due to a single runway and Cook Strait wind funnel between north and south islands.
On a windy day, can be 1-in-every-8 flights going around like this. 🤷♂️
Basically if flying to Wellington know it might take a couple of tries to land.
THIS IS WHY PILOTS DON’T FORCE A LANDING.
Air New Zealand’s A321 was on final approach into Wellington from Brisbane when windshear hit in already brutal conditions.
The aircraft was seconds from landing. Then came the decision to go around.
In a situation where conditions can change in an instant, the crew had only moments to react. They chose the safest option and powered away from the runway.

I think people have lost the will to try fact-check this guy due to the volume of lies he spreads.
Also it's actually pretty difficult with this image and quite time consuming.
It just happens I had nothing better to do. /1
