Word is that institutions are starting to buy $CRV or $CVX depending on which gives them the largest amount of gauge voting power per dollar spent 🤫 They may or may not have read this article to help make their decision 👇

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL $CVX LOCKERS 🚨 With the launch of on-chain voting on @ConvexFinance, delegation for voting power for on-chain governance issues and gauge votes has NOW BEEN SEPARATED. The screenshot below is directly from the @ConvexFinance website on the "Lock CVX" page, after connecting your wallet. Let's take a look at why this is important: Prior to this, when you delegated on the @ConvexFinance website, you gave whoever you delegated your CVX to your voting power for BOTH gauge voting (this is how you get you weekly or bi-weekly bribes/payments) AND governance voting (this was vote power that could be used in governance related issues, separate from the yield-bearing gauge voting mentioned earlier). NOW, you have the option to delegate to separate entities for each of these (gauge voting power vs governance voting power). I've attached the screenshot below to make this simple for you all: You can see on the right hand side there are now TWO options to delegate to instead of one. The first option in BLUE, the "gauge weight votes delegate" will determine who you delegate to for your weekly/biweekly yield that you're earning. For me, that is @StakeDAOHQ, as seen in GREEN in the screenshot below, but this might also be @VotiumProtocol for you- which is fine. The second blue box labeled "DAO votes delegate" is exclusively for governance voting power. If you haven't selected this since the update went in place, you'll see the box empty (as in the screenshot below). As a holder of $CVX, I personally believe that when it comes to governance voting issues, the @ConvexFinance team itself will likely be most aligned with my own interests (as opposed to other parties), and so I personally recommend delegating the "DAO votes delegate" to the Convex finance team, which you can do by simply clicking the blue button in the GREEN box at the bottom of this screenshot. This will give the @ConvexFinance team the ability to direct your voting power in your absence during a governance proposal vote. You can of course change this delegation at any time or vote manually if you don't agree with the team's view on a future proposal for any reason- so this is by no means a binding decision- but it's helpful for the team to be able to pass important governance proposals for the benefit of all $CVX holders when needed. Again to re-iterate, delegating your "DAO votes" voting power to the @ConvexFinance team has NO affect on who you delegate your "gauge weight" voting power to, and so if you want to continue to use @StakeDAOHQ to earn your weekly yields while delegating your governance voting power to the @ConvexFinance team, you can do this with no issues (as in the screenshot below). Again, if you haven't already, I recommend delegating the "DAO votes delegate" to the @ConvexFinance team in the interest of giving them the power to make governance decisions that prioritize $CVX holders, first and foremost.

This is the never-ending story with memes and it will always be the case, more-so in a limited liquidity environment like we have now. There is ALWAYS a "new meta" and attention is fleeting. When the only thing to differentiate your meme from the next is attention, there is no reason for holders to actually hold long term, and most will end up losing. Trading is a zero-sum game. Every time there is a "new runner" in the meme space, there are stories of some guy who got lucky (or more likely was an insider, or had bundled the launch) at the bottom turning 2k into 500k. That $498,000 profit didn't appear out of thin air, that is $498,000 that will be lost by a thousand others who rolled the dice (again) on a coin with zero fundamental value because they decided to gamble and chase the latest "meta". And the guy who made that half a million? If he didn't play fair to begin with (aka was an insider or bundled wallet) he isn't going to "spread the wealth" by apeing into other memes and "reviving the trenches", he's going to cash that money out because he knows the only reason he won big was because he rigged the casino. He's not going to pump "your" meme coin next. And with each and every new meme "runner" that comes and goes, more and more liquidity get's extracted by a select few while the majority keeps tossing away their money and then wondering what went wrong... At least in a casino the "house" only has a 2-5% edge, in the trenches the "house" edge is probably 10x that, and YOU are the liquidity.

Believe me, many are. But if you want to be one of the ones who makes a boat load of money in this space, then you have to keep playing the game while others start to give up. That's what sets you apart from the crowd. That's what makes you a winner in a game in which everybody's simply not gonna make it. How bad do you want it? How much time/effort are you willing to put in to get it? This doesn't mean you need to sit and stare at your screen all day- doing that isn't going to make the candles move any faster. It does mean you need to hang in there when the market is chopping/shaking people out, and find a way to pass the time until the market shapes up in your favor again. If you can do that you'll still be here and make it out to the other side while many of your peers have fallen off, and that's when you'll no longer be part of the losing crowd but rather the winning minority. Find a hobby or passion project to keep you busy, spend more time with family/friends, prioritize your health and physical/mental well being, travel (if you can), read a new book, educate yourself more about trading/investing, take this time to do things you may not have nearly as much time for when the market IS hot and you actually DO have to spend your time staring at the screen. Make the most of this "free time" while you have it because it won't last forever and you want to be fresh and ready for when the market turns in your favor (because it will).
