Humanoid robots are set to enter garment factories... Anhui Sanrong Hengfeng Garments is bringing in 200 humanoid robots, supplied by Aitu Technology, a subsidiary of Jack Technology. Interestingly, these robots are powered by a proprietary VLA model specialized for garment sewing, trained specifically for flexible fabrics. It enables the robots to understand, plan and execute tasks such as picking, aligning and handling fabric pieces autonomously. The wheeled humanoids will work alongside AI sewing machines to automate repetitive tasks like loading machines and attaching pockets, moving toward fully automated garment production. As younger workers increasingly move away from factory jobs, humanoid robots are becoming a natural next step for the industry. The clothes we wear tomorrow may be made, at least in part, by humanoid robots.
