We’ve reached another milestone in the @DeptofWar's race for American Drone Dominance.
Just weeks after the conclusion of Gauntlet II, the Drone Dominance Program has selected the top five performers in both Deep Strike and Close Quarters Battle mission areas. Each will receive orders from a pool of 60,000 drones – 3x the scale of Gauntlet I.
These drones are also cheaper, more capable, and sourced from a supply chain more closely tied to the American industrial base.

DIU and @SemperCitiusSDA have made initial awards for our Deorbit as a Service (DaaS) project.
We've selected @D_Orbit, @Firefly_Space and @katalystspace for design and risk reduction of in-space transportation and logistics capabilities on a managed-service basis.
DaaS supports mission assurance and long-term resilience by creating a reliable and affordable path to remove end-of-life satellites from operational orbits.

A New Vision for DIU
DIU Military Deputy Joseph “Solo” Kunkel at last week’s @scsp_ai AI+ expo to talk about Drone Dominance, the future of warfare and how DIU is committed to leveraging commercial markets and a wide-range of companies to solve military problems.
“The key to success in combat is going to be the team that can adapt and scale most quickly,” he said. “If you limit yourself to a small number of companies, you’re not going to be able to adapt quickly, you’re not going to be able to scale quickly. So, this growth in the industrial base is absolutely essential.”
