@RonFilipkowski Only *one* person in this photo is not eligible for this money. What an embarrassment to our country.
John Fetterman’s statement on Trump stealing $1.7 billion of our money to hand out to cronies and J6 criminals:
June 1, 1933: The "Fund of German Trade and Industry" is created, a huge slush fund administered by Martin Bormann in the Führer's name. The regime used the funds to compensate SA Stormtroopers who committed street violence, subsize the SS, and enrich Nazi party officials.

Nearly 100 House Dems just filed papers calling on the judge to throw out the lawsuit that's the basis for Trump's "settlement" creating his new slush fund, arguing that DOJ is colluding with Trump to iunlawfully circumvent Congress:

Cool, that's almost a quarter of the $1.8 billion Trump just took from taxpayers to give to the criminals who attacked cops on January 6th.
I’ve watched firsthand how focused this team is on making life more affordable for American families.
As of today, has already helped save Americans more than $400 million and we just added 600 more medications to the program.
Our President is demanding transparency and choice, which helps bring economic freedom.

To be clear:
Trump didn’t “settle” with the IRS.
He controls the IRS and DOJ
He’s stealing $1.8 billion from taxpayers and laundering it to his political allies with no actual oversight.
This is a heist.

The way the Judgment Fund is being used for the Trump “settlement” creates a profound loophole in the Appropriations Clause, allowing an administration to fund any program it wants without an appropriation. Sort of thing the Court needs to stop.

I assume the judge in the case knows about TALE: Trumpers Always Lie about Everything.
SSA is telling a court that the DOGE team members at the agency are gone, and it's not going to bring any DOGE back (even though Trump's executive order established DOGE teams at agencies until July). It's seeking to dismiss a lawsuit over the access DOGE had to its data.

The voluntary dismissal filed this morning is three pages long. No detail about the reported $1.776 billion settlement with Jan 6 rioters and convicted fraudsters. The filing does contain this sentence: "Upon the filing of this Notice, no judicial analysis is appropriate."
That sentence is the entire operation. Judge Williams had set a May 20 deadline to examine whether the parties were genuinely adversarial in a lawsuit where the plaintiff controls the defendant's boss. Trump's team filed a self-executing dismissal 48 hours before that examination and argued the filing itself strips the court of jurisdiction to conduct it.
The 93 members of Congress filing to oppose this argue the maneuver is constitutionally impermissible: a settlement "intended to avoid the Court's scrutiny" would contravene DOJ's settlement authority and the Constitution.
The race to May 20 was won. The constitutional question was not dismissed with it.

I'm old enough to remember when Republicans got really upset about draining the oil reserves, as in 3 years ago.
Trump burning through our Strategic Oil Reserve as fast as he possibly can just to try and keep gas prices under $5 .

This is a key part of Making America Healthy Again, more toxics in our water. RFK Jr. says it is a necessity.

Water providers will no longer have to test or filter for the pollutants.

They probably thought Landry was some weird pedophile, which as a friend of Trump's is a reasonable guess.
No one ever said Elon Musk was very sharp.
Here is Elon Musk bragging about how he "accidentally" canceled all Ebola prevention efforts
(DOGE never fully restored the canceled contracts)
In fairness, this doesn't change much since Trump just could have ordered the I.R.S. not to investigate anyone in his family and Chief Justice Roberts would say that's fine.
CNN also reports that this settlement also forces the IRS to end any active audits into Trump, his family, and his businesses
Not only does it further protect POTUS from accountability, but he's expanding this shield to Don Jr. and Eric and Ivanka and Jared and their interests

Remember TALE: Trumpers Always Lie about Everything. There's zero reason to believe Trump stopped because of the Gulf states, as opposed to just not having a good military option.
