The Committee’s joint report with @ChinaSelect confirms Harvard has been unwilling to seriously address foreign money pouring in through dangerous partnerships and contracts. Foreign adversaries should not be able to quietly funnel money into America’s colleges and universities while school leaders feign ignorance.
Our Committee advanced the DETERRENT Act to:
✅ Close foreign gift reporting loopholes
✅ Require greater transparency
✅ Strengthen accountability
✅ Protect American research from foreign influence
The House passed it. Now it’s time to get DETERRENT across the finish line.
