The one thing that we might actually learn from the Amish/Mennonites has nothing to do with buggies or funny clothes. It is their tendency to MOVE in organized extended family clusters. When they over-populate a farm district and farms get scarce/expensive, they roll out for greener pastures. Just like Americans used to do. And there appears to be no limit to their taste for adventure, they are now extending into all parts of Latin America. Some have even reached Africa already.
