Maye Musk knew Elon was a genius from the time he was 3 years old. However, she honestly admits she didn't do anything special to foster his genius. She simply was always honest with him, as she was with her other children, and supported all her kids for who they were. "You want to know how to raise a genius? People ask me all the time. But I think what I did was leave them alone to develop their own passions and give them the freedom to explore their own ideas. Of course, the kids had limits-they knew if they were disruptive when I was working, I wouldn't have a job. Then they wouldn't have a home! I was always truthful with them.
