CASE UPDATE from @FBISacramento: Two Men Charged With Kidnapping U.S. Forest Service Employees After Fifteen-Hour Standoff This week, the #FBI# and law enforcement at all levels joined forces to safely to resolve a hostage situation at the Gumboot Campground in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Joseph Charles Henrichsen, 49, and Phoenix Henrichsen, 23, kidnapped two field employees working for the U.S. Forest Service at gunpoint and bound and led them to a remote trailer where they were held. This triggered a massive law enforcement response that drew in local, state, and federal resources from around the country. After a 15-hour standoff, negotiators from the #FBI# Hostage Rescue Team secured the release of both victims and the surrender of both suspects. Both suspects are in custody. Read more:
