National Dog Day was yesterday and apparently somebody forgot to make the required post.
That Malinois stare says the settlement negotiations have already begun.
I’m thinking steak is just the opening demand.
America turned 250 tonight.
From the biggest cities to the smallest hometowns, fireworks lit up the sky.
Then Mother Nature joined the celebration, sending flashes of lightning through the same clouds.
It felt like the whole country had something to say.
Maybe it's just coincidence.
Maybe it's symbolism.
Either way, seeing small-town celebrations under skies filled with both fireworks and lightning was a pretty unforgettable way to mark America's 250th birthday.
The German Shepherd looked like it was waiting for instructions.
The Husky looked like it heard instructions, considered them carefully, and chose independent research instead.
“No incidents to report” vs “let me evaluate the wind direction” is accurate.
Dogs don’t wake up trying to become someone else.
Same toy.
Same walk.
Same people.
Same dog food.
Still acts like it won the lottery.
Maybe happiness isn’t always finding something new.
Maybe it’s appreciating what’s already sitting right in front of you.
