The American Bankers Association and other bank trade groups released a statement post-Clarity vote in the Senate Banking Committee:
"The banking industry continues to believe that the Clarity Act should be strengthened further by tightening the prohibition on interest-like rewards for holding stablecoin while also allowing certain payment stablecoin transactions and activities to generate rewards."

In a statement following today's Clarity markup in the Senate Banking Committee, @Sen_Alsobrooks (one of the two Dems who voted yes) says she voted yes to keep working on the bill, but that doesn't mean she will vote yes once the bill reaches the full Senate floor:
“Let me be very clear: my vote today is a vote to keep working in good faith. It does not mean I will be voting for the passage of the CLARITY Act on the floor. We still have work to do."
