NEW: A second poll this week shows that we're ONE-POINT away from defeating Greg Abbott.
We've got to give this everything we've got, Texas. Let's make history this November.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was killed in Houston by federal officers on July 7th. He was a father and a hard-working man who lived and worked in Texas for more than 35 years.
His family deserves answers. Texans deserve answers. And we're going to fight to get them.

I've got a plan to put $1500 money in your pocket.
How do we do it? Here's some Taco Math.
The people of Texas know how to spend their money better than the government does.
Houston made that clear last night.
I will give relief to Texans at a time when they need it the most.
That means $1500 in your pocket.
I have been closely monitoring reports about yesterday’s ICE shooting, and what I’ve seen is alarming. Let me be clear: the targeting of our communities is making us less safe, not more safe.
Texans, and all Americans, deserve full transparency about this shooting, including the release of body camera and dashcam footage, and I join the calls for a transparent investigation that includes state Rangers to begin as quickly as possible.

The governor should be ashamed to be starting another election-year commission to say what everyone already knows: the best thing we can do for a child’s education is to put a great teacher in the classroom.
When I'm governor, I will wipe clean Abbott's corrupt vendor contracts and use that money to make our teachers among the highest paid in the nation. I'll also fire Mike Morath and make an educator our Education Agency Commissioner.

Gov. Abbott today launched the Texas Classroom Commission, a new teacher-led initiative that will put TX educators at the center of shaping the future of public education.
The Commission will strengthen student achievement & ensure TX becomes the No. 1 state for educating kids.

When I’m governor, I’m going to put $1500 in your pocket.
Greg Abbott has been hoarding billions in taxpayer dollars, and at a time when Texans are struggling to afford the basics, I’m going to put that money where it belongs: with Texans.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, America began an extraordinary experiment.
The story of this country has been the enduring work of building a more perfect union, expanding opportunity, and ensuring that each generation can come closer to the promise of America than the one before it. We have not always lived up to that promise, which is why the work continues. Today we celebrate and honor those who have moved us forward, and recommit ourselves to the work that remains.

One year ago, the Guadalupe River took 135 Texans from us, dozens of children among them.
Their families have come to define this day as the worst day of their lives.
Their memory calls us to do more than mourn. It calls us to keep working to make our communities safer, to learn from what happened, and to ensure that every family can trust their leaders to put their safety first.

Don't let Greg Abbott fool you: he invited the data centers to Texas and now he's trying to make you forget it.
I will put money in your pocket by freezing our electricity rates and making the corporations pay their fair share.

Greg Abbott just appointed Huffines, the owner of the Epstein ranch & his party's nominee, to be TX Comptroller.
Why? So YOU pay for Huffines’ campaign. Last year, Abbott signed SB2, that lets the Comptroller spend your tax $$ on self-advertising as an exception to Govt Code Sec. 2113.011, which bans an agency from using “appropriated money to publicize or direct attention to an individual officer or employee of state government.”
I fought against allowing these taxpayer-funded campaign ads, because I saw it for exactly what it was: corruption.
It’s the Greg Abbott Corruption Tax, & we're all paying it.

When I’m governor, my first priority will be making sure Texans can afford to dream again.
Someone knows it's an election year.
Gov. Greg Abbott called for a prohibition on data center construction in rural parts of the state, a major change of course for the Republican who previously touted Texas as “the epicenter of AI development.”

Texans deserve to hear a vision of TX where we save our public schools and put money into people’s pockets.
Abbott has spent 12 years showing us what he thinks Texans deserve: more data centers, fewer schools, and contracts for his donors to get rich off our tax dollars.

I have a plan to put the American dream back on the table.
Deputy Erika Serrato made the ultimate sacrifice while serving her community early this morning. My heart goes out to her family, friends, and community as they mourn this unexpected, tragic loss.

The plan should be as plain as the promise: I will save Texas schools, and I will put money in your pocket.
