For those who still don’t know me and my performance art background : yes I took the bathtub to shoot in the middle of the road. I rented a place on a building with the viewpoint that I needed for setting up the camera. I produced the bathtub and the oars. I don’t take shortcuts and don’t play pretend. This is not a jab at anyone in specific but I think it’s a disrespect to the Accession Program for the 6529 Network Museum that photographers would just go to their portfolio and pick an existing image that wasn’t even made with anything related to the Keys and Gates theme in mind, and then just repurpose and prompt out a conceptual justification for how that photo matches the theme. Both my submissions have been made specifically for the program and that is one of the reasons I only submitted them on the last few days. They can be found here:
