This didn't happen overnight; it's the result of years of hard work, dedication, and risk taking, especially when many didn't believe they'd survive past five years. However, they aren't addressing the consumer market crisis. Just one week's profit could fund R&D for a brand new consumer friendly architecture, with SSDs attached to GPUs to improve memory capacity and reduce costs. I understand it's not that simple, but if OpenAI can design a new chip and power it in nine months, Nvidia can do much better. For those worried about data centres buying consumer GPUs, a simple solution is limiting each household to one GPU. There are plenty of ways to prevent fraud and abuse.

At this rate, even the M7 Ultra might not be a good buy, unless something changes in the next six months.
