IonQ(@IonQ_Inc):IonQ has achieved a new record by achieving optical entanglement rates of over 1kHz between a trapped ion and a silicon vacancy quantum interconnect. This new result is 4x over previous ion-trap records. Our result exceeds the best published implementations across trapped ion, neutral ion and superconducting platforms. However, our entanglement methodology can support the entire quantum industry—from neutral atoms to superconducting systems with transducers and beyond.
