đ Same Pace as Noem đ
Markwayne Muppet Mullin is touting about 1,000 deportations in a single day out of Louisiana. Fox's Brooke Taylor reported that Oct. 2 number from the Alexandria Staging Facility, 21 flights, after the Supreme Court cleared third-country removals. A busy day at one hub is not a new national pace.
Politico reported in August, from people familiar with the DHS figures, that daily removals under Mullin have fluctuated and at points neared 2,000, but in general they match the pace under
@KristiNoem. ICE custody was holding around 68,000. Arrests were averaging about 1,500 a day, under her peak near 1,900. He said in June the department was on track to beat the 2025 totals. The ledger he is standing on does not show that yet.
He also has not put out a fresh self-deportation count. The figure DHS is still leaning on is the May estimate, about 2.2 million self-deportations inside a claim that more than 3 million illegal aliens have left. By July 12 they were still saying more than 3 million gone, with over 985,000 deportations and over 1 million arrests, and they did not update the self-deport slice when the daily pace came out flat.
You can surmise the number is low because illegal aliens watched this leadership and decided to fight removal instead of leaving. What you cannot surmise is a newer total, because he has not published one.
