Update: The guy telling COLDCARD victims he'd help get their coins back via a lawsuit against Coinkite was not just ordered to pay his former clients restitution of $1.9 Million.
According to reports, Braziel was accused of stealing $5.5 Million from his former clients, and paid a total $6.4 Million in 2025 to settle the claims against him.
Braziel's objective seems to be to buy up claims on stolen COLDCARD coins from victims to turn a profit. Braziel does this because he knows that the chances of recovery are *not zero*.
If you lost funds in the COLDCARD hack, I know it's very compelling when someone shows up to tell you to tell you he can help make you whole again.
PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.
The original settlement documents are not publicized and cannot be sent via email – If anyone knows anyone in the DC area who can get to Delaware and pickup the documents on Braziel for me, I pay 💸
