After a month of working on Albemarle: The Game, I can tell you that it takes countless hours and testing to create a video game worthy of the name. AI alone is great for creating a rough first draft, but if you want to get serious, besides a general idea you need: •strong language skills and descriptive abilities •extreme patience •attention to detail •creativity •a big-picture vision •time •resilience to frustration •stylistic consistency

I’ve spent the last few days working on the characters. I improved their aesthetics by redesigning the eyes and facial features, and creating new haircuts, custom outfits, and accessories. Initially I had rendered the facial features and the body as a single block, which made it difficult to work on facial expressions and modify the characters as needed. Now the hair, eyes, mouth, and clothing are all separated, making it much easier to scale and customize each individual character. I’ve also started assigning a distinct purpose to each NPC: characters don't just wander aimlessly around the city anymore, but move according to specific goals and paths. The next steps will focus on lore development, entertainment, and gameplay modes. I want people to have a genuine desire to play Albemarle continuously. Meanwhile, we will work on implementing an agentic consciousness for the NPCs, integrating the token into the gameplay dynamics, commercializing and make the assets available for trades. Because in my ultimate vision, Albemarle will be more than just a game: I aim to create an autonomous and self-generating digital ecosystem, complete with its own circular economy and an evolving social structure influenced and determined by the actions of human players. Don’t worry though, I'm aware of the crypto timelines and lack of patience. So I am also doing my absolute best to let you try out a first beta as soon as possible. Honestly even in its current state the map, the attention to detail, and the smoothness of the movements would be enough to impress anyone, but I take pride in leaving people speechless. We are developing a meticulously crafted video game that oozes that nostalgic spirit, fusing entertainment with DeFi mechanics through a memetic subculture that has already natively developed within the crypto ecosystem.
