Child predators don’t “look” dangerous. They are often successful, respected, and powerful — even lawmakers entrusted with protecting the very children they may be harming.
May this be a wake-up call to the people of the process: THIS is why I fight. And it’s why I need YOU in this fight alongside me. Protecting children is not partisan, and it cannot be performative. It requires action.
Thank you to law enforcement for pursuing these allegations and protecting our children and communities. There is much more work ahead — and I’m ready to do it.
