BitMart founder denies an explosive letter attacking management, saying hackers posted it through the company’s Chinese X account.
An open letter, reportedly posted by employees, demanded answers from Sheldon Xia and Yi Li by August 19 about:
• Where users’ money went
• Why withdrawals were restricted
• Accounts allegedly linked to management
• Unpaid employee wages
• How and when users will be repaid
The letter threatens to send evidence to regulators and police if management does not respond.
Xia said the account was “hacked” and that the letter was “not posted by any current employee.”
This comes as BitMart shuts down, with users reporting they cannot access their balances.
