I’m sorry, but I don’t think we should be listening to a single thing @NRDC has to say on climate or energy given that, until about 5 minutes ago, they spent the better part of 50 years trying to destroy America’s largest source of clean electricity.

Two of the Illinois plants slated for uprates were nearly closed early. Quad Cities was set to shut down in 2018 and Byron in 2021, and legislation saved each one.
We fought for a year to justify keeping Byron and Dresden open. Since then, they’ve returned billions of dollars to families through credits on electricity bills. Now they’ll now be able to produce even more juice.
Absolutely love to see it.
