Apple officially launches the M6 M5 Pro Mac mini, plus the M5 Ultra Mac Studio.
It's the most Tim Cook thing ever to have his final product launch be a Mac chip refresh and then let his successor be the one to introduce the biggest new iPhone ever just two weeks later.
Some nice price hikes. Mac mini M6 is $899, M5 Pro is $1,699. Mac Studio M5 Max is $2,499 (no change), while the M5 Ultra starts at a whopping $5,499.

The wait for a new iPad mini won’t be much longer either. It’s still on track for this fall and will launch before the end of October. It’s revamped, complete with an iPhone-like OLED screen.

Here’s what I wrote about a new iMac today - reiterating my prior Mac road map.
There are concerns here but OpenAI claims your whole database isn’t uploaded - just the conversations you ask about. Users also know what they’re getting into via the setup screens. Last thing I’ll say is most people won’t even figure out how to turn this on because of macOS.
