As I've said, I think there's probably some truth to the idea that AI companies may be incentivized to inflate the dangers of their product for financial and strategic reasons. However, when all of the major players in an industry are telling us, flat out, that the thing they're building could be very dangerous, it seems ridiculous to write their warnings off completely. If a guy built a weird contraption, handed it to me, and said, "Careful, it might kill you," I'm going to tend to take his warning seriously. It might be a hoax, sure, but if I know considerably less about the contraption than the guy who built it, I'm probably not going to just assume it's a hoax. I'm not aware of any example in history where almost everyone INSIDE a particular industry is united in saying that their own product might be catastrophic for mankind. The climate alarmists have said that about the fossil fuel industry, for example, but the climate alarmists are not inside the industry. Notably, the fossil fuel industry itself has generally disagreed with their assessments. That's why the climate alarmism comparisons here just don't hold water. It's a totally different situation. So, while we should be cautious about taking anything at face value, I find the firm "there's nothing to worry about" claims to be pretty ridiculous. This is an extremely powerful and rapidly evolving technology. Any powerful technology carries risk. If the people building this technology say the risk is high, again it seems foolish to blithely assume that all of them are conspiring to simply lie about the dangers of their own product. Another read on the situation -- one that allows you to doubt the benevolence of these people (as I most certainly do), while not necessarily discounting all of the hazards of the thing they're building -- is that they pushed full speed ahead on this technology, blew right past the warning signs, and now they're seeing things on their end that legitimately scare them, and the PR blitz in the media right now is a classic case of corporate CYA. When the shit hits the fan, they can say, "We tried to stop it." Even though they actually could have stopped it, but didn't, when they had the chance. That seems like a plausible scenario, too.

This is 100 percent confirmation that the female jurors were not only trying to make a statement but were also following the trial on social media. The more these hags run their mouths, the worse it gets.

When a woman strangled three children to death, you described her as “normal” and “loving” and excused the murders because she was supposedly depressed. Now you’re pretending to be upset about a man allegedly grabbing a woman by the throat, even though he was never convicted of any crime and you’re getting all of this from hostile journalists with a very obvious axe to grind. Sorry but we aren’t going to let you move right from excusing the strangulation murder of three children to pretending to care about domestic violence. You’re a huge apologist for domestic violence. On the record. We won’t let any of you people ever forget that. Your credibility is done forever. Might as well just log off at this point. None of you will ever live this down.

You idiots don’t get to preach about “empathy” anymore. Empathy should have had you screaming for justice for the three children Clancy strangled. But you didn’t care about those kids. You have no empathy. And definitely don’t pretend to give a shit about domestic violence. You already chose to overlook one of the most barbaric cases of domestic violence we’ve ever seen. Best thing you can do now is shut your mouth and go away. None of you have any credibility.

The allegations are not proven and charges were dismissed. But even assuming they’re true: 1) Given that charges were dismissed, they don’t preclude someone from serving on a jury. So there is no newsworthy scandal here at all. If anything, a juror with an alleged history of domestic violence should be all the more sympathetic to Clancy. And yet somehow he was the only one with the moral clarity to find her guilty. 2) These women are really bouncing right from defending a woman who MURDERED ALL OF HER CHILDREN to pretending to be horrified by allegations of domestic violence. These people are beneath contempt.

We’ve never seen anything like this before. A man was conscripted into jury duty by the government. He performed his civic duty and followed his conscience, refusing to acquit a woman who confessed to systematically executing her three children. The defense attorney immediately launched a public smear campaign against the juror. Soon several other jurors joined the campaign. Then the media. Even the defense attorney’s wife has joined. Now they’re doxxing the man, digging into his past, contacting his family, showing up at his house. All of this both to punish him for refusing to go with their program, and to pollute any future jury pool by making it clear that anyone who votes to convict Clancy will have their life destroyed. It’s truly one of the most outrageously evil things we’ve ever seen from the Left, and that’s saying something. A direct assault on the integrity of our justice system. They are burning down every boundary and standard in their path. And doing it all for the sake of a child murdering psychopath. Unfathomable.

They’re flat out doxxing an anonymous juror because he didn’t acquit a triple murderer. These people are evil beasts. Demons from hell. Sue, you deserve nothing but shame and scorn. You despicable freak.

Not only have the other jurors spent a week publicly insulting the lone black man, but remember that they also tried to have him physically removed from the jury. AND the defense attorney filed a legal motion accusing him of bigotry. This is precisely the kind of scenario that the Left has fantasized about for years. Now it finally happens but they accidentally sided with the white people. Phenomenal.

Spending over a trillion dollars to randomly send everyone in the country a check for five grand, including people who are not even net taxpayers -- which makes this, yes, welfare -- is idiotic.
