If you've ever wondered what big institutions like sovereign wealth funds, pensions, and endowments really think about crypto, read this report.
The $NEAR team has been heads down building for years. It’s wonderful to see the world finally starting to recognize it. Still early.
Tokenization is a mega trend. Just today, the SEC created a pathway for tokenized stocks to trade in the US, S&P acquired @OpenZeppelin, and DeFi assets are ripping. If you had doubts before, today should put them to rest. The world is moving onchain. The thing about investing in mega trends is that they go on longer than you think. ChatGPT launched in November 2022. NVDA was trading for $16. A year later, it was obvious AI was a megatrend and NVDA was up 176% to $46. The right thing to do at that point was not to kick yourself for missing the move. It was to buy in size. Today, NVDA is $219. You probably wish you bought into DeFi and tokenization in June when prices were lower. But this is a multi-year transformation of how finance works. If it plays out as I think it will, there is plenty of upside ahead.

The bitcoin rally will continue until the debt situation improves.
A year ago, crypto had one narrative: ETF flows. Now there are at least five: 1) Debasement >> BTC 2) Privacy >> ZEC 3) Tokenization >> ETH, SOL, LINK, HOOD, CRCL (and others) 4) Revenue >> HYPE, PUMP, UNI (and others). 5) Attention >> HOOD, PUMP, PONS The breadth is bullish.

It's wild how quickly we went from talking about $2 billion to talking about $1 trillion.
History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. There is a lot going on right now that rhymes with "the bottom is in."
Alex Thorn points out Bitcoin reclaiming its 50 week moving average has marked the bottom 11 out of 13 times "Bitcoin, just from looking empirically at the charts, really does need to recapture the 50 week moving average here. It's around 81, Mike says around 82, but either way it's not that far from here" "Something like 11 out of 13 times that Bitcoin crossed the 50 week moving average to the upside in a bear market, it signaled the bottom was in" "Only twice did it not, and both of those were in between the two peaks of 2021, so not even quite a real cyclical drawdown, though certainly a bear market because it went down 50 plus" "If you were to zoom out, you would find that every time we came out of a bear market crossing that 50 week to the upside, it did not ultimately go lower"

This bears repeating……. now more than ever.
The thing that makes this rally interesting to me is that most of the buyers are playing the cycle; that is, they are thinking about a 3+ year investment not a 3-day trade.
Extremely momentous break up in btc and complex. Rare break of 50/100/200 d all in a few days. Mkt is caught short badly. Pointless to call day to day. Big Low is in. Hardest thing to buy here if you aren't long already. Greatest amount of pain is back to 100k immediately.

Can't wait to read it!
We wrote a book! It’s coming out soon and it’s ready for pre-order wherever you buy your books (aka Amazon)
I missed this post last week amidst everything that was happening in the market. It's worth reading. I continue to think the market is underestimating ethereum:0x1f9840a85d5af5bf1d1762f925bdaddc4201f984.

One of the few teams that has been nonstop at it in every bear and every bull market - no matter what - has been killing it once again in the first half of this year These $1.8B will massively compound over the next 2 years and will send Bitwise in another dimension Hunter, Matt and the @Bitwise team are the best in business and the good Stewards that our industry desperately needs more of They are humble, good, hardworking people and they also nailed how to make Tradfi look cool and young in crypto I can’t wait to see how much winning these guys keep collecting over the next years A future Multi billion dollar company, as laid out by @avichal during our last conversation

Agree with @RyanWatkins_ here, who's been right on a lot of things recently. $SOL is very attractive at these prices.
Think $SOL is about to make a big comeback and is the most asymmetric major over the next 6 – 18 months. Some notes. 1. After 10 months in a row of down only, most retail and funds have capitulated, leaving only committed holders 2. One of three index assets alongside BTC and ETH that both retail and institutions will reflexively bid once it’s clear we’re back 3. Highest concentration of revenue generating apps and some of the strongest network effects of any general purpose L1 4. Solana has the most credible path to scale of any L1 w/ slot times approaching 200ms by end of Sept 5. Upcoming SIMDs will strengthen SOL economics through increased fee burns and lower inflation. Estimate Solana REV could 2x – 4x in next year easy 6. Stablecoin volumes rivaling Ethereum, Tron, Base for top payments chain 7. Tokenized equity volumes are ramping with Solana as the leader across all L1s 8. Long tail markets like memecoins, TCG, and MetaDAO “ownership” (startups) coins are all accelerating 9. Social trading apps like Fomo and Pump are onboarding a big wave of new users with Solana as the largest beneficiary There were many reasons to be critical about Solana over the past year, but the past is becoming past. Fundamentals look great and the value capture story will only improve with each passing quarter. Targeting much much higher.

No sellers left.
Matt Hougan on the three things driving ETH "I'd call out three in particular. One is it became a really hated asset. This idea that there were no sellers left, which was true in crypto broadly, I think was really true in ETH. Anyone who got tired of ETH definitely puked and sold a few months ago, right at the depths of the foundation reorg. Everyone who wanted to sell had sold" "I also think ETH had a little bit of community momentum, because it started to do a few things right after that foundation retreat and collapse, with the formation of these new entities. It was already outperforming Bitcoin during the last few weeks, so it was ready to run" "And I do think the stablecoin and tokenization thing is a big meta theme, and people thought ETH is at the center of that, I'm going to own it" "You put all those together and you get this explosive upside move. But a lot of this move is just no sellers, it's a no seller move, so even a little bit of demand just skyrockets these assets"

@notthreadguy It's less about who's buying and more about who's selling, which is nobody. The real move will come when institutional buyers show up en masse.
Arthur Hayers is right here. I said something similar today on the @scottmelker show. ETH is rallying hard because there is no one left to sell. Everyone who wanted to sell sold when the ETH Foundation went full CROPS. All that was left after that was the true believers. Now the sentiment has turned and relatively light buying moves prices much higher.

Arthur Hayes says $ETH is his largest position outside bitcoin:native "ETH is some of the most hated large cap shitcoin out there, the number two largest coin by market cap that has not eclipsed its 2021 all time high" "From a risk reward perspective, at least the way I manage the portfolio at Maelstrom, this is our largest position outside of Bitcoin right now. I'm not particularly worried that if I wake up one morning ETH is going to zero. Obviously it could happen, but the risk of that versus another crypto is much lower, so I'm happy to put a lot of size on this trade" "Because it hasn't moved that much this past cycle, I think it has a lot of catching up to do. Once it starts moving, the reflexive train is going to get going. There are so many people who want to be long ETH for all sorts of reasons, and there are really good reasons why they haven't been for the past few years" "Once we break through the 3000 level, I think you're really going to start seeing the train moving on ETH, and it could quickly eclipse 5,000. My year end target is within reach"

"It's manipulating the long term interest rate lower to punish savers" Matt Hougan on why Bitcoin is rallying "I know people are reluctant to call this yield curve control. Today the term I saw was soft yield curve control, whatever the technicalities" "That's why Bitcoin is rallying. As long as the government is doing that, you're going to have people rotating into hard assets" "The debasement trade is full on. People are going to buy gold, they're going to buy Bitcoin, that's what we've seen, and that will continue as long as they try this" "I think what Bessent is saying is he's going to keep doing it until the market listens"
