*Exposing the Agent: Jihad Miqdad* Agent Jihad Miqdad is from the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City. He is a member of Ashraf al-Mansi’s armed collaborator militia, which operates in northern Gaza, particularly east of Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun, in and around areas beyond the ‘Yellow Line.’ His militia has been implicated in attempted abductions, attacks on civilians, the detention and abuse of its own members, the transfer of Palestinians into ‘Israeli’ military custody, looting aid trucks, and trafficking narcotics. Sources close to the matter today confirm that Jihad Miqdad had “a long history of heinous crimes and cases involving drug and hashish use before the aggression.” He has been arrested several times and has spent many years in prison. During this period, his relationship with Ashraf al-Mansi grew closer. After joining al-Mansi’s militia, Miqdad attempted to lure his wife and family into joining him at the militia’s headquarters. However, his clan took a firm stand, refusing to have anything to do with him or provide him with any form of social support. Faced with this firm rejection, Miqdad resorted to blackmail and intimidation. He called his family and openly threatened them, saying, “I’m going to bomb the house with an F-16.” Less than half an hour later, the family received another call from a private number. The caller claimed to be from the “occupation army” and demanded that the family’s house and nearby schools sheltering displaced people be evacuated. It later emerged that the caller was none other than al-Mansi himself. This was a blatant attempt to terrorize the family into relocating into the militia’s headquarters.

*Activists in Gaza Continue Championing Ansar Allah* Gaza writer and activist Ayman al-Hafi, whose mother Sana’a al-Hafi was imprisoned in 2016 after being convicted of transferring funds to Hamas, has today published a message in solidarity with Ansar Allah. Amidst the present fighting, al-Hafi launched a powerful invective against the sectarian online campaign spurred by Palestinian-Lebanese writer and longtime columnist for the Qatari outlet ‘al-Watan’ Adham Sharqawi. Al-Hafi invoked al-Qassam spokesman Abu Obeida, who had denounced those who abandoned Gaza while lionizing the Yemenis as the “Brothers of Truth.” After Sharqawi joined the anti-Ansar Allah sectarian campaign by posting an image of himself in Yemeni dress, al-Hafi sardonically responded: “The people whom the masked man described as the ‘Brothers of Truth,’ and were it not for the distances, by God, I have no doubt that they would have been with us in the Strip … these are your ‘Rafidite’ enemies, Sharqawi?”

*Internal Strife in the al-Mansi Militia* Ashraf al-Mansi heads an armed collaborator militia operating in northern Gaza, particularly east of Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun, in and around areas beyond the Yellow Line. A new security scandal has illuminated internal strife in the group concerning the detention of several members and commanders inside the militia’s headquarters east of Gaza. One such case involves collaborator Mahmoud Awad, who was considered a close friend of Ashraf al-Mansi and subsequently joined his militia. Following a failed escape attempt, Awad is now reportedly being held in a secret cell run by al-Mansi himself. He joins a growing list of armed members detained on suspicion of disloyalty or following repeated attempts to escape. Awad’s detention highlights the atmosphere of suspicion and lack of trust within al-Mansi’s militia. According to the resistance platform, ‘Pursuit of the Fifth Column,’ “Relations between the militia’s leadership and its members are no longer based on loyalty or a common objective. Instead, they have increasingly come to resemble a relationship between hostages and jailers. Al-Mansi has turned his headquarters into makeshift detention centers for pursuing members fearful of their anticipated fate, amid a growing number of individual and collective attempts to escape and distance themselves from the stigma of national treason. The incident also illustrates the intelligence tactics through which ‘Israeli’ Shin Bet officers manage these mercenary militias. The Shin Bet treats these mercenaries as ‘fighting cocks’ confined within a closed arena. When armed disputes erupt among militia leaders over funding and control, occupation officers simply observe and fuel the conflict, waiting for one side to finish off the other or deliver its rival to the occupation in order to consolidate control.” This pattern apparently recurs whenever a new figure rises within the militias, threatening the leadership. Ashraf al-Mansi and Osama al-Sultan have thus imprisoned fellow collaborator Ahmad al-Samāʿna and his family alongside close associates such as Mahmoud Awad.

On the second anniversary of the pager attack in Lebanon, this young man from the Hizbu’llah movement is asked what he feels today, having “sacrifice[d]” his eyes “for Gaza,” to which he replies that he feels nothing but “dignity and pride.” The video has been shared across various Palestinian and Gazan channels today as demonstrative of the brotherly kinship between the resistance movements’ cadres.

New details revealed about the Palestinian resistance’s 16 September 2026 ambush of collaborator agents: The occupation’s militias were struck almost simultaneously in the northern and southern Gaza Strip. Their members fell into carefully planned resistance ambushes, leaving several dead or wounded. ‘Israeli’ warplanes and military vehicles intervened directly to provide cover for the evacuation. In Khan Yunis, a group affiliated with collaborator Shawqi Abu Nasira set out at approximately 7:30 a.m. to serve as ‘tracking dogs’ and conduct tracking operations on behalf of the occupation forces. After the group advanced into the area, resistance forces caught its members in a carefully prepared ambush. Several sustained direct injuries, while others were killed. An ‘Apache’ helicopter manned by the occupation forces landed at the scene to evacuate the dead and wounded. This indicates the importance of some of the collaborators targeted in the resistance ambush. In the north, several members of Ashraf al-Mansi’s group infiltrated the northern section of Jabalia Camp at dawn on Wednesday. They soon fell into another ambush, resulting in confirmed casualties. According to testimony from people who fled the militia camps, the number of dead and wounded was significant. The gangs are expected to conceal the identities of those killed, as reportedly occurred recently in the al-Khulafa al-Rashidin area of the northern Gaza Strip. Both incidents were accompanied by intensive ‘Israeli’ air and artillery cover. This provided protection on the ground while the dead and wounded were evacuated from the two ambush sites.

*The Avichay Adraee Network, We Want to Live and the June 26 Movement* I am proud to share this peer-reviewed research article I have authored, “The Avichay Adraee Network, We Want to Live and the June 26 Movement,” published by the al-Zaytouna Centre for Research and Consultations in Beirut. This article, which was the byproduct of years of close research, traces the genealogy of what Palestinian activists and resistance actors have increasingly described as the “Avichay Adraee Network,” a transnational Arabic-language media ecosystem linking normalization initiatives, anti-Hamas activism, and collaborator formations in Gaza. Beginning with the 2019 “We Want to Live” protests and following the evolution of actors such as Moumen al-Natour, the study examines the emergence of interconnected institutions, including the Center for Peace Communications, the Arab Council for Regional Integration, and Jusoor News. It argues that these organizations cultivated a shared media and political infrastructure that, following the outbreak of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, expanded beyond advocacy into projects focused on alternative governance, “safe zones,” and the promotion of post-Hamas political arrangements. By situating the “June 26 Movement” within this broader trajectory, the article contends that the “Avichay Adraee Network” represents the culmination of a years-long effort to construct a soft-power apparatus capable of shaping political discourse, cultivating local intermediaries, and advancing new forms of political organization in Gaza. This article is, to my knowledge, the most extensive historical study of this network. Alongside my Electronic Intifada article, I consider it to be my most important piece of research yet.
