Yaxel Lendeborg of the @warriors has been named Most Valuable Player of the 2026 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Lendeborg averaged 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists in six games as Golden State won the championship.
The MVP was selected by a vote of all 30 NBA teams.

The connected basketball will be tested at the upcoming NBA summer leagues.
The basketball contains an embedded sensor that detects contact with the ball. The sensor does not materially affect the ball’s weight, feel or playability.
Data collected from the ball will support future officiating applications, such as last-touch out-of-bounds calls.

The one free throw rule will be tested at the upcoming NBA summer leagues.
With this rule, any foul that would typically result in one, two or three free throws under standard NBA rules will instead result in a single free throw attempt. That attempt will be worth the same total number of points as the free throws it replaces.
Standard NBA free throw rules will apply during the last two minutes of the fourth quarter and throughout overtime.

Group Play games (Oct. 30 – Nov. 27), the Quarterfinals (Dec. 4-5) and the Semifinals (Dec. 8 and/or Dec. 9) of the Emirates NBA Cup 2026 will take place in NBA team markets.
The Championship (Dec. 11) will be played at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the iconic home of Butler University.
All Knockout Rounds games will be available @NBAonPrime.

Group Play games in the Emirates NBA Cup 2026 will take place on "Cup Nights" from Oct. 30 – Nov. 27.
Each team will play one game against each of the four opponents in its group.
The six group winners and one wild card from each conference will advance to the single-elimination Knockout Rounds.
The game and broadcast schedules for Group Play will be announced in August.
