Cloudflare showed what happens when you take an absurd amount of internet infrastructure and hide the complexity behind a simple interface that’s what great infrastructure does i think global payments are waiting for that same moment one integration, hundreds of local rails underneath

Payments should work like APIs. One integration. Clear documentation. A predictable interface. And a lot of complexity handled underneath. Here's why it matters 🧵
this is why i’m so bullish on asia so many countries here have already built payment infrastructure that works extremely well locally connecting these rails could turn asia into one of the most open payment regions in the world

🇮🇳 INR. 🇻🇳 VND. 🇨🇳 CNY. 🇵🇭 PHP. 🇮🇩 IDR. Five currencies. More than 40% of the world’s population. Some of the world’s biggest and fastest-growing payment markets. Money moves across these markets every day for remittances, trade, payroll, marketplaces and global businesses. And the local rails are already here. InstaPay, VietQR, bank transfers, wallets and more move money at massive scale. The opportunity is connecting those rails to global dollars. Stablecoins can provide the 24/7 settlement layer. Local infrastructure handles the payout. With Credible, businesses can connect once and access USD → INR, VND, CNY, PHP and IDR through one payments stack. Global dollars in. Local money out. Asia is where global payment infrastructure is getting built for the next decade. That’s why we’re building the rails to make global money move more freely across Asia.

tomorrow’s CLARITY Act vote could be a pretty big moment for global payments too we’ve spent decades building systems to move money across borders and a lot of them were designed for a world where everything happened during banking hours stablecoins change some of those assumptions completely regulated stablecoins becoming a more accepted part of the financial system could have a really interesting effect on cross-border payments especially when you combine them with local payment rails you could have businesses collecting locally, moving value globally and settling payments much faster we’re still pretty early if you ask me

just leaving a few breadcrumbs for what’s coming next👀
serving a fresh menu. say hi?
apple folded the phone we’re unfolding global payments by connecting 200+ local payment rails into one stack different kind of folding problem i guess
JUST IN: Apple unveils the iPhone Duo, its first foldable phone, with an 80% larger screen than iPhone 18 Pro.
the best predictor of a durable religion is the fairness of the founding and a founder that everyone respects/admires
finally you can send payments on one screen and watch them arrive on the other thanks @Apple
still think one of the best ways to build a company is to find a problem that’s annoying enough that people will actually pay you to fix it
237M+ people, $22B+ in remittances🇳🇬 Millions of Nigerian creators and freelancers work for the world. You can probably guess where we’re looking next👀
this is what a real ecosystem looks like
jobs peers capital support education connections opportunities superteam.
august was a good month $183M processed, crossed $1B, added new rails and kept pushing on the compliance and infrastructure side. the numbers are great but honestly I think the progress underneath them matters even more september is already looking busy

futarchy is one of those ideas that sounds strange until you think about how many important decisions are basically predictions. -will this launch work -will this market grow -will this investment create value we already make these bets informally, futarchy just makes the bet explicit.

Asia is building local currency settlement networks, linking instant payment systems and experimenting with tokenized financial infrastructure and there's a pretty important reason for all of this. Asia's trade is becoming more regional. around 20% of ASEAN+3 value-added exports now go to the US, down from almost a third two decades ago, while China and ASEAN have become much bigger destinations for each other's production. the financial infrastructure is starting to follow the trade. as someone building in cross-border payments, this is something i think about a lot. payment infrastructure tends to follow where people actually do business. when trade becomes more regional, it makes sense for businesses to settle more directly in regional currencies. when consumers already use instant payment systems at home, it makes sense for those systems to become useful across borders too. and i don't think that means every country needs to adopt the same rail. if anything, the opposite the most interesting future probably has many strong local systems, connected well enough that moving between them starts to feel much more natural we're still pretty early in that transition, but you can see the pieces coming together.

Asia spent the last decade building some of the world’s fastest domestic payment systems. The next step is connecting them. A new IMF piece looks at how local currencies and payment rails are coming together across the region. Here’s what caught our attention.🧵

Meanwhile, @crediblefin just hit another ATH in volume per month ($183M)
clear stablecoin rules could have an interesting second-order effect: payment companies will start competing on the experience around the rails rather than on who owns the rail. better routing, liquidity, FX, compliance and reconciliation become the differentiators.

LATEST: G20 finance ministers and central bank governors commit to establishing clearer regulatory frameworks for digital assets and stablecoins.
Spent some time going through the 2026 Global Payments Report from @Worldpay_Global there’s a lot in there, but as someone building in payments, the part i keep coming back to is how local payment infrastructure is starting to become global payment apps are expected to reach 46% of global POS value by 2030, or $15.6T at the same time, UPI, Pix, Alipay and other local payment systems are starting to cross borders, i think this changes how we should think about global payments the world probably isn't going to settle on one universal payment method. every market has spent years building rails around its own consumers, banks, regulations and habits. what's happening now is that those rails are starting to connect. that's what “glocalization” means to me, a business can be global while the way its customers pay remains local building the infrastructure that connects those two worlds is a big part of why we're building @crediblefin and the Open Payment Stack and honestly, the more markets we get into, the more convinced i am that this is the right way to think about payments

Arpit has been an advisor to us since day one, so this one feels special. I’ve always believed in hiring people smarter than me, and Arpit is exactly that. He’s worked across Near and Polygon, has consulting experience at EY, and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Really glad to have you officially onboard, @Arp_it1. Excited for what we’ll build together. 🤝

August was a heads down build month at Credible. Not much noise, a lot of cooking. Here's what happened: Infra: Migrated our banking partners in a key emerging market so we can scale and operate more efficiently. Integrated our first card processor, going live soon. Also gearing up for our SOC 2 Type 2 certification audit. Compliance: Updated our onboarding frameworks to meet the regulatory requirements in two of our key emerging markets, keeping pace with a changing landscape. Design: Contracted a UI/UX agency that previously worked with a MetaDAO listed project. Sneak peek of the new look coming in September. Transparency: We're evaluating external auditors to work alongside us so we can start publishing financial statements. One of them already works in the MetaDAO ecosystem. $CRED rewards: We're preparing to add profits to treasury and finalizing our strategy to reward $CRED holders, our stakeholders. Lots built. Lots left. Exciting times.
