Every trade starts and ends inside the fund’s own contract. Your side stays open at all times. If the fund is sitting in dollars, you take dollars. If it is in positions, you take your share of every coin it holds, right now, without asking anyone. If the trader picks an early-exit fee, it is fixed when the fund opens and can only ever go down.
