Been playing around with the @OriginalBlokyz model and this is what I love about it: One recognizable base shape, but almost unlimited room to build personality, professions, worlds and stories around it. Took mine from a simple head design → full character sheet → AI medic inside its own environment That’s when an avatar starts feeling less like a PFP and more like an actual IP Blokyz gets the model right: same silhouette, different worlds.

Update for @OriginalBlokyz : Week 1 post reveal and the main question a lot of holders and non holders is around what we are planning to do over the next few months. Collector Experiences: This entire set has been created to encourage collecting and we want to double down on this experience. Next steps is for us to work on making our studio public which breaks down the rarities but will also eventually allow you to toggle background changes to your liking. In addition to this we are working on collector badges as well. Staffing: We are on-boarding more people to the team as we start implementing our short term and long term plans. We are bringing aboard a community manager who will be hosting and running community events but will also be the sound board for community to ensure that we build hand in hand. We are also ensuring we have moderators who cover ever timezone and are available to help you where you need help. IP/Story Telling: This is a key focus for Monk and Sculptor. We have introduced the blokyverse but what you have experienced so far is just the brink of the iceberg. Over the coming months you’ll be seeing a lot more comics being rolled out. In addition to this we will building our social media presence beyond just X and discord to more traditional social media platforms like Instagram and more. Physical Blokyz: There’s so much to unpack here. But first our intention is to work on delivering the 100 Original Blokyz promised to the top 100 bidders from the mint. In addition to this we want to continue shipping the partners Blokyz that we are already working on for communities including Kaspa, Arb, GVC, Quirkies, Chimpers, Normies and more. There’s a lot more to unpack here that I will be talking about over the coming months and I’m super excited about all the potential opportunities here. There’s so much more that we have planned or have in the works but we don’t Intend to overwhelm people with information. Our aim is to start shipping on all these fronts in a way that’s digestible for all the audiences but also allows us to create strong foundations for us to continue to grow.

A few days ago I had a debate when it comes to Original Blokyz rares across the 4 middle eras aka the archetypes with max supply of 30 (535 tokens in total) I made a formula that was predicting prices in a post reveal bear case scenario where the FP would drop from 0.14 to 0.1 floor. Now that it has been 2 days since reveal with FP at 0.09 let’s see some numbers. When I made the formula my logic was that rares would decouple from FP significantly and you would be break even in worst case scenario at 1.3-2x floor depending on which archetype. The formula was also taking into account how rarity was priced among the 12 different boxes themselves and the unique nature of this collection bc it has rarity within rarity. There’s a lot of nuance when it comes to determining rare's value on such illiquid markets. FP isn’t the best indicator but trait offer aka what’s the money you can make instantly isn’t the best indicator here either. For example let’s take one my favorite archetypes: Wrath Knights, 20 in total. FP is 0.5, trait offer is just 0.15, but at least half of the tokens have bids ranging from 0.2 to 0.4 ETH. This ofc happens bc archetypes supply influences price a lot, but it’s not the only component due to the variety of traits existing in the collection and unique combinations. Hence what I meant with “Rarity within Rarity” (have seen some criticisms about the many traits and my thought was “LOL”; I mean there are traits I don’t like too but I think that was exactly the intent tbh) Personally while I picked a “Gameboy Blokyz” shortly after I reveal I sold bc I am after more rare ones like mages or necromancer (the evil eyes trait is also one of the best imo). There’s a lot of selling pressure compared to pre-reveal (about 5x more listings), but when it comes to rares I think some opportunities will appear soon cuz Blokyz market isn’t efficient yet (those 1-2 ETH 1/1 sales are a steal imo) and we are in a very attention-based market especially when it comes to NFTs. There are patterns on how liquidity moves across a pool of NFT collections but that’s a study for another time. Gotta say Blokyz is a fantastic collection to study if you enjoy art and data, some more on that front to come, cheers.

Take 3 minutes before letting the FUD around @OriginalBlokyz influence you. The full reveal happened on Friday, September 11th and, like with many 10k collections, the same things happened immediately after: floor dump, divided opinions on the art, FUD, and people repeating what they read without even spending 2 minutes doing their own research. But that FUD is already fading. Because the facts are starting to speak. The floor reacted, the first sweeps started, and most importantly, grails are finding new collectors. We’ve already seen sales like: The Forgotten → 4 ETH General Fabian → 1.99 ETH Metadata → 3.69 ETH and other grails changing hands around 1.75 / 2.90 / 2.99 / 3.50 ETH. While some people are still debating whether the commons are “pretty enough,” collectors are already buying the pieces they actually want. And this collection deserves respect for what the team has already done. 64 million raffle tickets from a fully organic campaign. 7th largest mint ever by volume. Physical collectible infrastructure built before mint. Lore and world developed before mint. More than $200k invested by the team before mint even happened. Five figures spent by the team on the secondary market buying the Blokyz they personally love. This is not a team that minted first and then started looking for direction. The direction was already there. And then there’s @Tma_420. TMA is not just a holder. He is part of the team. And as @FunkariNft, we know him well. We see him every day. We talk to him. We know how hard he works. We know what kind of leader he is. He is one of the few people in this space I genuinely respect for how he treats others and for how hard he pushes the projects he truly believes in. He helped bring Funkari to where they are today through presence, work and vision. And because of that, we have enormous respect and gratitude for him for creating such a strong community. But I want to be very clear about one thing: we are not supporting @OriginalBlokyz just because TMA is involved. We support it because we genuinely like the collection. We like the art. We like the project. We like what the team is building. We see real potential. TMA simply makes that conviction even stronger, because we know who he is and how much value he can bring when he fully commits to something he believes in. And the great thing is that a lot of Funkari are already involved in Blokyz. A big part of the community is already watching, buying, talking about the project and supporting it. Not because anyone told them to. But because people genuinely like Blokyz, and because those of us who know TMA well also know how much value he can bring to the project. a big part of the Funkari community is already in @OriginalBlokyz. And I think we’re only getting started. And in the short term, we are already seeing interesting signals: sweeps, grail sales, Named Ones moving, major collectors accumulating, Adam Weitsman holding 500 Blokyz as a strategic partner, and the team staying active and present. And we are only at the beginning of the post-reveal phase. I genuinely think a lot of people will regret listening to the FUD without spending even 10 minutes understanding what Blokyz actually was. If prices are no longer here later, it will be very easy to say: “I should have looked into it more.” The point is not to buy because someone tells you to. The point is to at least do the research before dismissing something. So no, I’m not letting FUD make the decision for me. I’d rather watch who is building, who is buying, and what is actually happening. I’ve made up my mind. I’m bullish on @OriginalBlokyz. And I think this story is only starting to heat up. 🧱🔥
