The Puducherry government observed the occasion at the statue located at the 100 Feet Road–Villupuram Road junction, where Rangasamy garlanded the statue. Minister Sivakolundhu, Government Whip A K T Arumugam and MLAs Sai J Saravanan Kumar, Ravikumar and Alaganandam also paid floral tributes.
