There are situations where it may look like I’m early, and sometimes I am, but there’s a big difference between being early through accumulation + thesis and trying to front-run momentum. With accumulation + thesis, I’m anticipating an outcome and building a position around it. With momentum, I want the move itself to confirm the trade before I participate. The vast majority of the time I try to anticipate that confirmation, I get stuffed or worse. IMO, anticipating momentum is a brutal game.
