Thomas Massie on Trump’s speech to the nation tonight about election fraud: “We control the House, Senate, White House, and Supreme Court, so I ask my Republican colleagues, why are you complaining about election fraud? We won all the elections!” This is all a distraction from the fact that our elections actually are rigged, but not in the way Trump or even Democrats ever claim. Our elections are rigged by corporations and billionaires who buy off and bribe both parties to tilt the economy in their favor, creating an unbalanced society that’s rigged for the rich. Elections under capitalism are a sham, as they don’t produce democracy for the people. They only produce democracy for the rich. Elections under capitalism are simply a mechanism of control for the ruling class to keep the masses divided and trapped in the very system that’s rigged against us.
